Chanel needs to put up interviews with seamstresses, and give them the recognition they deserve.

Knikki Knowles You sound like a McDonald's employee. There's a reason people are paid minimum wage for a task that requires little skill in comparison to artisans with years of experience in their craft. Apples and oranges. Even if they were only working for themselves and selling their goods on Etsy they'd still deserve recognition for doing what they do. I've been in the world of low pay and grunt work so don't come for me in the comments section like you're gonna start something.

Priceless view of sweater after steam treatment; being precisely scissored by an unwavering hand. Tres belle..
That is more or less how every factory makes cardigans. Unphenomenal!
What craftsmenship, what fineness
For those who think that Mr. Lagerfeld is not giving his seamstresses the recognition they deserve, you obviously don't know or perhaps understand what an Atelier is. And you've probably haven't witnessed his fashion performances where at times he brings his head seamtresses out with him at the end. I would wager my entire sewing studio that not one of those seamstresses complains about having the spotlight over having the privilege and honor of being a House of Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld seamtress.

I worked in a design room. The machine at the beginning is called a linking machine, the needles are called points, the number of points per inch depends on the the fabric being used ie-: the finer the yarn,,,,the finer the points. For a fully fashioned garment every stitch on the neck, shoulders, cuffs, and welt has to be linked onto the points.
The craftsmanship looks very amazing but honesty I think this looks like something my grandma would wear.
did she just cut the cardigan freehand? oh my word.... such confidence and skill!
I love how they fold the cardigan every time they pass it off to someone else.
Can anyone give, an 👏applause whose working so hard and giving out the best finishing touch behind the Scenes. 😊
Now I know why Chanel costs a lot. So neat, so care with so much love. Every single one is a master piece.
The color palette is awesome
I adore this videos, always reminds me why I choose to go into design.
oh, i'm stuck in these making of's... it's just sooo magical...
No wonder those sweaters cost as much as a mortgage payment. Such handcrafted pride and dedication with every stitch ! ✂️
I'm a little surprised that the buttons aren't attached by hand.

Amo esses vídeos da Chanel
Its amazing how the cardigan started to appeal to me after the buttons and labels were attached, the power of brand names.
This is a perfect example of how you can have effective storytelling without any dialogue.
This Soo PERFECT ❤️❤️
Me gusta la música los sonidos de las tijeras ✂️ de los hilos, los colores el ruido de la máquina, todo me inspira a vivir 🤸🏼♀️
i think its beautiful!
It’s just a brand thing and marketing video. My family factories used to make cardigans and sweaters for brands all the time. The cost and the selling price is A huge difference! No clothes should be THAT expensive.
