I think the driving force for Tony is that he wants to avoid collateral damage and civilian casualties. Strange correctly argues that their best bet to keep the stone safe is to return the ship to earth. Tony can't accept this, because he knows that Thanos will kill millions of people to get to the stones. Iron Man signed the Slakovia Accords because of the guilt he felt for the innocents who died in Slakovia. He goes to fight Thanos on his home planet because he won't have to worry about noncombatants dying there. He can take the gloves off on Titan. Rogers refuses to sacrifice 1 man for the greater good.

The relative lack of unique abilities in Dragonball is why I don't like that kind of action very much. Apart from a few (often shared) signature moves and abilities, they all just have the same powers, or different versions of the same energy projection/flight/strength/durability. While there are a handful of unique abilities (Buu's transformation magic, shapeshifting and regeneration are perhaps the most unique), most characters will have one or no abilities which differentiate them from any of the others, and most of those unique (or at least signature) moves can be copied by others with ease. How many people besides Tien Shinhan have used the solar flare? Pretty much all of the other protagonists, IIRC. By contrast, it is difficult or impossible to confuse the skills sets and powers of the MCU characters, even when they have similar abilities. Even War Machine's weapons (mostly conventional weapons with a handful of energy ones) are distinct from those of Iron Man's (mostly high tech energy weapons with a handful of conventional ones).

As someone that plays fighting games your constant use of the word Reversal describing the fight scenes made me giggle a bit and was a pretty thought provoking way to look at fight choreography Here's a fun fact, Reversal also has a similar meaning in the video game context: A Reversal (also called DP or Dragon Punch) is a "get off me" move in fighting games that interrupts the opponents offense and 'reverses' the situation, making it your turn to fight back. Flash Kick and Shoryuken from Street Fighter are probably the most well known examples.

Thanks for this video. Thanks to this i just realised how easy it is for an author to make a charakter, but then destroying it by writing the action without the Background of the charakter in the mind. This one failure can make the whole story a failure, because then the charakter-driven scenes full if dialouge and the action scenes easily feels seperated. This is how you make a good story, Marvel. This just show me again how well written this movie is ^^

I hope you don't mind feedback? Speaking over very engaging Marvel fight scenes puts your words into context, but it also makes your words very hard to focus on, because there's a very engaging Marvel fight scene happening at the same time. Their goal is to keep the mind stone away from Thanos, not to save Vision. Remember Wanda actually “kills” Vision to save Wakanda and the rest of the Universe. Which doesn’t work, but still...
@Relugus
5 жыл бұрын
@@summertyme5748 The irony is that Vision turning white (pretty clear what that is referencing) and "I feel you", reveals that Shuri's efforts are doomed to failure either way. So alot of Wakandans died for nothing. Well, Wanda destroying the Mind Stone forces Thanos to use the Time Stone, which creates a time vortex that sends Ant-man to where he needs to be. I think it was Chthon, through Wanda, who actually destroyed the Mind Stone. The stone, if its sentient, would certainly not willingly destroy itself.
@randumpotato
5 жыл бұрын
Relugus A couple problems w/your theory. Thanos’ rewind only affected his immediate area/vision himself. That is also solidified in AM&TW because they are affected by the snap, but not the time reversal. You also underestimate Wanda’s power, and assume the stones are sentient. I know they are in the comics, but this is the MCU. I’m pretty sure that Thor (w/Stormbreaker), or Thanos w/just the power stone could destroy all the other Infinity Stones. I’m pretty confused by your first paragraph. I don’t see the symbolism in it, really. With Shuri’s genius (higher than Stark OR T’Challa’s) level intelligence I’m sure she could have helped Vision out. I’m not trying to attack you (I enjoy a friendly debate), but you are kind of discrediting the Russo’s story. Because their whole point was that if the Avengers (+ GotG) were together during Infinity War, they would’ve had enough time to fix Vis, and keep the other stones out of Thanos’ gauntlet.

I don't mean to be rude but what exactly about his constant use of the word reversal was funny? Also, the first commenter is correct, you're just rewording what the video stated.
Great video, loved infinity war
Each fight revolving around a stone ended in a sacrifice. If they had to give up the stone to save a life or give up a life to get the stone.
A very nice viewpoint! Didn't think about that before.
Nice breakdown with detail!!!
Gosh, I love Infinity War and this channel:)
It would have been better if you’d done an in-depth analysis on one of the actual scenes you’re referring to in vague terms.

Some Guy the video was not supposed to be a long in depth video because he mentioned it was supposed to be apart of another video, and I understood everything he said I didn’t see it as so vague
As a newbie writer, I'm using these videos as a way to improve myself. Thanks for all this!
Great video!
Good Video Man.
I love this chanel cause un like every person going to filmschol making video essays about how the Marvel films are garbege you show the great use of story telling these films are doing

Film school doesn't really have much to do with it as there are plenty of people that to go to film school making essays about how the Marvel films are great. Everyone just has opinions.
Dope Video
Tony Stark fights out of fear, Thor fights for no one, Banner fights himself and Captain America fights too late
What a good video
Great video, Hobbit missed opportunities part 2? enh? enh?!
Already saw it, but this is worth a second viewing xD
Why was that intro text so long? I'm not *that* slow at reading

these videos are so good...but too short...make em longer!!!!!
For someone as easily distracted as me, this might as well be a compilation of engaging Marvel fight scenes, with no words at all.
Strange how The Gray Man directed and written by the same guys of the most action pact blockbuster of its year made a very average Netflix action movie.
Good vid
How do you find scoreless scenes?
Infinity War is like Mad Max Fury Road - it’s kind of a popular entertainment masterpiece, that will never be recognized as such because of it’s ‘low brow’ source material.
when asked "what is best sacrificed for a better future?" a hero would say "myself" a villain would say "you."
Top 5 MCU Action Scenes: 1. The Winter-Soldier: Captain-America V Bucky Highway Sequence 2. Civil-War: Airport Fight Sequence 3. Oh hey, I know what a reversal is! Thanks Marvel vs Capcom! lol
Fire fucking video bro
Consider me subbed. But please, if you do make videos about specific movies or franchises, don't spoil in anyway in the thumbnail or title of the video and always have a spoiler alert on hand.
i wonder if Cap could have pulled the gauntlet off Thanos hand?
At 2:28, I thought for a second you were gonna say, "With some being tied to their face."
42 second intro before the first words are spoken...
0:31
And then Endgame's climax has even more of a hot potato scenario with the gauntlet/stones
Avengers 4 is the CULMINATION of the entire MCU from Phase 1 to Phase 3.
Great video but Ebony didn't mistakenly grab Strange's cloak, the cloak flew Strange away.

That was... vague. There wasn't anything that haven't been said before. However if you're planning on analysing in depth action scenes, I'm all for it. Want help?
why wont trade lives yet let's risk the entire wakandan force who are humans actually alive not inanimate andriods

Their goal is to keep the mind stone away from Thanos, not to save Vision. Remember Wanda actually “kills” Vision to save Wakanda and the rest of the Universe. Which doesn’t work, but still...
@Relugus

Ah, the Russos. The creators of my top three favorite Marvel Movies.

Then don't watch them. The fact that you're still wasting your time watching this video even though you say you claim to think that "all Marvel movies are the same" is kind of a contradiction. If you really believe they're all the same then why even waste your time?
