Industrial-Style Dining Table Made From Reclaimed Pallets

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I wanted a dining table with a Victorian industrial look to it. I also wanted to keep the weight down, so the whole thing is made from pallet wood that has been formed into hollow box sections.

Hi, Jason. Apart from being visually stunning and original, this table looks incredibly sturdy, and if ever you get round to training two elephants to sit on it, that would prove the point. Apart from your remarkable wood and metal skills with your amazing attention to detail and perfect finish, your design and planning skills are second to none, and that side of things must take up an enormous amount of time and thought. Thanks for another 40 minutes of relaxed entertainment as I watch in awe. Cheers, Ray.

My late Dad was a European Carpenter who emigrated to Canada. He built over 150 homes with his crews here in this City. If he was making that...he would find an opportunity to pound a few nails. A woodworker that does not want or know how to pound in nails of varying sizes and descriptions seems to me devoid of something essential. Like a mechanic that believes that machines should have as few nuts and bolts as possible...that maybe some robot welder and 3d printer can make machines with no visible fasteners and claim victory over the humans. Only a real human being can feel the satisfaction of driving a nail home. Good Job !

These videos of yours are extremely inspiring to younger generations of carpenters and hobby woodworkers like myself. Its so cool to see that even with the most unwanted material that just gets thrown away or burned, you can make something so intricate and awesome. And doing so sometimes with bare minimum hand tools too. My partner wants me to build that poster bed you made a couple years ago, and seeing that vid you made, showed me its not exactly easy but definitely doable, whereas before I always found my skill level somewhat inadequate to take on such a project. Genuinely, thank you for these vids. I have learned so much.

I just love watching you work. I haven’t the foggiest idea what you’re doing. Even when I look at the title of the video. You cut the wood, glue it together, cut it again, measure, cut, hammer it together and so forth; I ask my cat what you’re doing, but he won’t tell me. Finally, you hold something up, then 2 things! Again I ask my cat. He walks away. You start on something else from the beginning again. I’m baffled 😯. Intrigued. Can’t stop watching just like the others. Then, there it is. It all comes together. Your exquisite piece of art! Our reward!! Thank you 🙏 !

Absolutely outstanding……an amazing table made from recycled pallets …. The quality of your pieces of work are an inspiration… cannot wait to see what you build next

Ohh, mate! That’s absolutely gorgeous/stunning and simply beautiful! I tried to find just one descriptive word, but couldn’t decide on which one, so it’s all of them! It was definitely worth the wait for your video, for sure. Thank you & happy NY, 🙂🌸
