@jimihicks Everyone....or MOST people loved their music. The hate didn't come till they drank their own Kool aid and acted like they were levitating above everyone else. Even other bands that had to tour with them started hating their holier than thou attitudes. Pretty sure Scott Stapp has acknowledged that. The music was always great.

Scott wrote the lyrics, Mark Tremonti (guitar) wrote the music. Incredibly powerful. Scott questions his faith and finds himself having created his own prison in his mind. Lyrically, Scott can write some amazing songs. He pulls you into his world with the stories and his vocals. Mark is an incredible guitarist.

I got to be on the summer of 99 and Beyond Creed cruise. It was so awesome to see Creed back together, people on the cruise loved every second of their performances, during their shows, the whole crowd was singing every word to all their songs, some songs you could just hear Scott Stapp singing over the crowd singing. amazing experience. More Creed to listen to is "Faceless Man", "Rain". You should also listen to his solo stuff, "Purpose for Pain," "Gone too soon." And Alter Bridge "Blackbird", "Watch over you", and "Open you eyes." @@leemires5315 no they don’t, not from what I understand… anyway and if they do it’s not to same extent as Nickleback. why do people always compare Creed with Nickleback?

@@nsasupporter7557 Because despite having a ton of hits/selling lots of albums, Creed got an insane amount of hate. And as Creed was breaking up , Nickelback was getting more popular. They too then got an insane amount of hate despite having a lot of hits and selling a lot of albums.

Great song, great album. Love Creed! I love the track "Pity for a dime" from the same album (wasn't released as a single). "Bullets" , "Freedom Fighter" & "Who's got my back" from the 'Weathered' album are also stand-outs for me!

Not a huge Creed fan but I LOVE this song. Maybe the fact that it's a bit more early 90s grungy vibe is part of it but the lyrics are absolutely phenomenal too

I loved Creed back in the day. The band broke up and became a band for a few more years. When the band broke up they became Alterbridge. I seen on a commercial of the band Alterbridge and like the band. I found out later it was the band from Creed. A few years ago i watched Rock Star movie with Mark Wahlberg. I never noticed Myles Kennedy plays Thor at the end of the film where he takes over for singing for Steel Panther. I seen in the credits Myles Kennedy name. So many 80s rock bands cameos in the film. That is one film you both have to check out if you haven’t seen the movie. I met Alterbridge in 2020 before the pandemic. Marc Tremontti I got to talk to. Very cool person the rest I got fist bumped. Marc seen me in the crowd and try to throw me a guitar pic but didn’t land well. I tried to get the security guard to get me the pic. He was so rude to me for no reason at all. I pointed to the pic and hushed me. A group a few rows down sees us pointing to the pic and pointing to the security guy. He picked up the pic and gave it to them. I was like wtf. I did do anything to you. The bassist sees me and throws the guitar pic. It flies to me and falls. I looked on the ground and I see it. I put my foot to cover it so nobody gets it. I grabbed it. I taped it to the bassist autograph picture I have. It was an amazing moment

My Own Prison sounds different because it came out with their first album. There was a definite change to their sounds between the first album... and the second album. Quick note... Creed is back on tour this summer after nearly a decade off. You guys should check out and see if they're going to be close to you at any point.
