@@DaveMustang74 pick up a guitar. It's not hard to learn, but you really have to want to do it, and put some time in. After the first couple of months, you start wanting to play more and more because you're getting better and better. It's really fun when you have a group of friends around drinking and you can play a bunch of songs. I always had people asking me to teach them, but I ended up being frustrated at them because they didn't want to practice on their own, so they never learned anything or any of the muscle memory Only a few ended up actually learning, and eventually they got better than I am. They just needed a little guidance on where to start Also, IMO metal is the easiest stuff to learn besides grunge

They are definitely one of those bands that it became trendy to hate on. They didn't sell 50 million albums because they sucked. But all the "cool" kids bashed them so the lemmings followed suit to fit in and before you knew Creed was awful.

This whole album is fire You definitely need to do more of it but especially the song one

It's terrible. Completely awful. Beyond Strapp's complete rip off of Vedder his vocal is trite and pretentious. He deliberately affects seemingly every syllable. Even if it had been a good record Scott would have ruined it. It wasn't. It was (is) entirely predictable hackwork, the grunge equivalent to the 4th wave of hair metal when the likes of Bulletboys started to retread the same territory that had proven successful but didn't bring anything new to it.

Great opinon Brad, totally agree with your entire reaction! When this album broke out it got a lot of detractors whining it was "Christian Rock" but even if it is/was? It was still really good. Scott Stapp is what vocalists and coaches call a "Growler" and Lexy's immitation was pretty accurate!

Creed played with my friend’s band at a bowling alley. Almost exactly a year later they were a headliner at our music festival.

The album full circle is awesome and rarely heard. The songs "Time" and "On my Sleeve" are power ballads but the album is full of many greats like Full Circle

Creed is legit. Message of "what if" aged like wine.

Creed has got a bunch of great songs, regardless of what people say about them. Torn, With Arms Wide Open, Higher. They were one of the biggest alternative bands around the turn of the century.

Don’t believe the haters of Creed they were a great band. Yes there’s a vibe or feeling they had in there songs. They get hate because of Scott the lead singer and his yarling vocal style that came from the likes of Vedder and Weiland. Scott also was openly very Christian and then became a messy substance abuse Rock Star. Torn, My Own Prison, Pity for a Dime, Sister, One; Are You Ready, Say I, Faceless Man, Higher, Inside Us All; are all worth checking out from their first couple albums. Creed has a touch of the grunge feel but essentially they were a rock band of the mid 90’s to early 2000’s

One major reason for the hate on Creed is that Scott acted like a douche. As for Stapp's alleged Christianity, his music when they were popular was music you'd here from LUCIFER, not a Christian. It was angry, bitter, resentful towards God. There were exceptions, like Faceless Man. But for example, Say I. Or this song, where he's in Hell, and he begs God alone to judge, and gets sent Gabriel instead.

There’s something about Scott Stapp’s growly voice and mesmerizing stage presence that is just so appealing. One of my favorite frontmen and best voices imo. Not to mention how much he overcame and what a beautiful family he has now ❤️

My sacrifice is my favorite creed song. They make amazing music.

"Higher" is probably my favorite Creed song. They have a library of good music.

Creed were a great band. Their downfall was Scott Stapp's (singer's) alcohol and drug problems. Other members of the band formed Alter Bridge in the early 2000's, including guitarist Mark Tremonti. Alter Bridge is a big band. If you haven't, you should react to some of their stuff.

I'm not , at all, Christian, but I've always respected and appreciated the way this song tells its story so well from that perspective through both the lyrics and music. I'm surprised by the description of this as either a chill vibe or a party song. This is a lyrically heavy song.

I'm not either, i think a religion interpreted by man is bleek and vague. That's why I pray and read the Bible on my own.

People like to hate on Creed because it's the popular thing to do, but I've been jamming to Creed since '97 and I've always loved their music. The lead singer's name is Scott Stapp and you should check out some of his more recent solo stuff, specifically "Purpose For Pain"

You've gotta check out the projects that followed Creed called Alter Bridge and Tremonti, respectively. Creed is a heavily underrated band, all very talented musicians, particularly Mark Tremonti with his great songwriting and guitar playing. 🤘 I'll always back these guys up in a musical debate, too many haters.

Tremonti and and Lindsey Buckingham are two of the most underrated guitarists ever if you ask any casual rock fan

A lot of people don't like Creed, but to me they had several great songs.

I went to Catholic school from 1st Grade through high school. I went to college in Virginia (VT). My roommate was a southern protestant that was into christian rock, and he got me into Creed. After college I kind of lost my faith, but found it again after my daughter was born 15 years later. I rediscovered Creed, and their message is still strong. "I can do all this through him who strengthens me." ~Philippinans 4:13

Yeah, I don't understand the trashtalk about them. They were great back in the day. And with Mark Tremonti on guitar (and, I'm sure background vocals!), it CAN'T be bad!

Before Nickelback was everyone's favorite punching bag, that mockery was directed at Creed. No matter what, this is a damn good album and the band was really solid, before Scott Stapp's personal life turned into a self-inflicted mess.

Yeah Scott ruined the band with his antics and addiction. It's a shame. Tried to come off as some righteous Christian but was always drunk and fighting at bars. I mean we all have our battles but that's why the guitarist moved on and made a different band.

Love Creed....I know they get shit on a lot for their music, but look at the talent that they have, with Myles Kennedy now as Alter Bridge....Tremonti especially, what a portfolio of music

I didn't hate Pearl Jam, but I absolutely hated the endless worship that the critics and music snobs gave them. It didn't matter what Pearl Jam put out, they were going to love it. And those same people, it didn't matter how good of a song Creed put out, they were going to shit on it.

Good song. Good band. Screw the haters. Brad is right on with his interpretation. Creed is the young man that has gone out and done some stupid things and now is reflecting on their life and how they can do better. Kinda sad that the lead singer didn't listen to his own band and went out to mess up in a similar way and then re-learn the lessons. Thank God that Scott has done some healing and has re-dedicated himself to the Lord.

Creed is good, always liked their music. They disbanded and then found a new singer and formed a new band, Alter Bridge. You should definitely check out AB, highly recommend the songs Blackbird, One Day Remains and Watch Over You. I think those songs are a good representation of their range.

If you are going to dig into Alter Bridge, go into Myles Kennedy with Slash to Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy And The Conspirators (long weird name) but great songs Anastasia and Starlight are amazing songs

This band absolutely gave me chills when I saw them live.

They're kinda dark, and a little churchie sometimes, but they have some definite rockers... "What If" from the Scream 3 soundtrack is a great one. Mark Tremonte is an amazing guitar player, and Scott Stapp has a classic rockers tone. Great choice 😎

"Torn" by Creed is my Jam.. But "My Own Prison" and "One" have a good sound and a good message.

Lead singer Scott Stapp had struggled with addiction for a good decade but that is old news, he has 6 years of sobriety now, he healthy, happy in great shape has his beautiful wife and family! He embraces his past struggles reaches out to others who struggle he has inspired others to reach out for help and you can get there to! In 2019 as a last minute shout out to my son he did my son’s favorite song Overcome from there album Full Circle which is my son’s favorite album by Creed, it was a last minute thing we were at Boardman, Ohio my son Christian didn’t even know it was going to happen it was set up as a surprise shout out, he was so happy when Scott said I can relate to this young man on so many levels so where ever your at Christian and I was like Christian he’s talking to you and he was, he was like what’s up man and Scott said your entitled to Overcome my friend! I put the video from that show up on my you tube for his song Overcome, you can see Scott doing the shout out and at the end you’ll see how emotional my son was after it was over it meant the world to him and he couldn’t figure out how that just happened! ❤️We all rocked out and my son had no idea Scott was going to talk to him after the show too! Scott couldn’t have been more gracious or kind and was so compassionate and understanding about my son having a drinking problem at one time and had only been sober for awhile but Scott encouraged Christian and they had a real conversation, my son had loss his step brother Cody to a overdose and felt guilt for living and he couldn’t stop Cody from dying and Scott said it’s not your fault! You can’t make a person get help if they don’t want it, they will do what they want no matter what you said to him! They have to be ready, Scott talked to him about struggles he’s had and where he is now and Christian talked about what he has went thru and how much he misses his brother. He gave my son a big hug when we went back to see him after the show and Christian couldn’t believe he was talking to Scott! Then we saw him in Cincinnati, Ohio show in 2019 at a meet & greet and he let Christian ready a poem he wrote about him getting alcohol out of his life the poem was entitled Parasite(talking about how alcohol is a parasite that was in his life) then got pictures and after we left and got in the line for the show, Christian was going to have Scott sign his poem but forgot, we got it to his bodyguard and he got it to Scott and Scott signed it and wrote 24 hours at a time! I can’t tell you how much that meant to my son and me! My son is going on 4 years sobriety and Scott is in his recovery ❤️‍🩹 so in our book Scott is a great guy, don’t care what no says and anyone in recovery should be celebrated because there still here with there loved ones and my son has reached out to others who have struggled to! Scott and all the Creed members are good with each other today! Sometimes I think people want Scott to stay stuck in past addiction cycle instead of moving forward! Scott has a new song off his last album from 2019 on his album Space Between The Shadows called Survivior and it’s a great song for anyone who’s struggled! I hope we get a new Creed album and tour as a fan of them I hope that comes true! I’d love if you guys reacted to Survivior and another song off that album is called Purpose For Pain and Gone Too Soon, all great songs! Thanks for listening appreciate you guys!

Absolutely loved the first Creed album, really liked the second, and liked a few songs on the third. "Weathered" is actually one of my favorites. They're a unique band, Mark Tremonti is a great guitarist and went on to great things in Alter Bridge as well (check out their song Metalingus), Scott Stapp was an inspired lyricist who unfortunately took a pretty steep downturn. Scott has solo albums and tours frequently.His voice is still stellar and his shows are worth every dime.He is so kind to his fans.

People give Creed a lot of crap, but they were actually a really good band. And Mark on the guitar was phenomenal.

First time checking out somebody's reaction to Creed. Creed is an awesome band that doesn't get enough credit mostly due to the fact that Scott the singer kind of started doing crazy stuff. Give them a chance. And try Alter Bridge. Which is the same musicians with a different singer.

Definitely one of the best bands of the second grunge wave (post grunge). Please listen to their song "Higher". And many many other songs, they are all good 🤘

Wow. I wasn’t expecting anything creed. I’m 34, I’ve literally been listening to creed since 97. All the albums, solo projects from Scott stapp and mark Tremonti. Their both super talented and admired musicians and vocalist. They have so many killer songs and are bad ass live, especially in creeds prime days of 97-2002. This Album I’ll never forget getting at 10yo in elementary. Others kids was listening to Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC, Brit spears ect, I had my own prison album with my portable CD player lol it be soo awesome if you’ll reacted to the song “TORN” (official live performance). So you’ll can see the guys play and see what they look like.

Y’all are by far the best channel for reactions. It feels real and I actually enjoy it.

I noticed he fucks with the post grunge late 90s early 2000s rock

This was my absolute favorite band when I was in high school. With Arms Wide Open, One, and What's This Life For are musts.

I love both you guys. Always have such cool reactions. I haven't seen Brad this animated before this. Lex I absolutely love you and the way you react. You're so cool and fun. Oh and the band, well I've always been a huge fan of Creed. Great choice today.

They are great live. Underrated.

Human Clay is their best album. I recommend “Are You Ready?” “What If” “Beautiful” “Say I” “Faceless Man” and “Never Die.”

Creed was a great band with some great songs, but because they appealed to such a wide range of listeners and we're played 24/7 on radio stations, they became square and uncool.

Album sales do not necessarily say how good the music is , just how popular it was. Kpop groups are selling just as many albums and creed. See where I’m going with this. @vincent the Barbie Girl sing sold 8 million copies and it is 100% garbage

Mark Tremonti is the only decent thing to come from this band. Their singer is just another dude trying too hard to mimic Eddie Vedder's vocal style.

yes one of the best songs on this album. Tremonti is very under rated

I'm pretty stoked at the prospect of Stapp reuniting with the rest of the band for their 2024 tour, which leaves the door open for some new music from them for the first time in 20 years. I also just found out that 3 Doors Down is one of the supporting acts on that tour, so I'd expect a new album from them as well

Brad and Lex Arms wide open is awesome, when you see your 1st child born you can understand.

I don't care what people say about this band I always loved them. Brings me back to my younger years great memories back then..

Love the reactions, you guys are great! Please check out, "What if", It's an excellent harder song from Creed. Really good!

This song and album reminds me of being a kid so very much. My favorite song on this album but the whole thing is great.

I was at FSU when these guys got their big break. I can't remember the name of the bar/lounge where they had their first record release party in Tallahassee, but a bunch of us were there, they actually lived a few buildings over from me in Melrose Place on Tharpe (now known as Seminole Grand Apartments). The drummer, Scott Phillips, showed up a week later driving a Porche 911 after the rights to this song had been sold for the movie I Know What You Did Last Summer. Was a great time for music and clubs in Tallahassee.

Creed had so many bangers back in the late 90s. Put some respect on Scott Stapps vocals

Not afraid to admit I was a much bigger fan of Creed than I was Pearl Jam also head to head greatest hits I would still bet on Creed

Great observation about the maturity of the song's lyrics and themes - wise man!

Creed holds more records for number 1s and sales than any other band. Having 4 number 1 songs on 1st album. Never been done before. 3 number ones on second album, never been done before on 2 different charts giving CREED 7 straight chart topping songs never been done before! Def one of a kind band that to this day could drop a number 1 if they got back together. The album full circle is a favorite of mine that didn't get enough play due to drug addiction of Stapp. One of the best bands ever that still have a world wide base!

Creed: Vocals - Amazing, Musicianship - Amazing.... Subject matter - Antiquated

I think Creed`s best song is "One"!

If you listen to this song (title track), then I suggest you listen to the lead track, "Torn". Man, to me, their best song.

You could tell Brad was really delving into his psyche especially when the lyrics “I cry out to God seeking only his decision” you can tell in his eyes and posture

He wrote this entire album while living in his buddy's walk-in closet.

Solid band. Solid hits. One of my favorites of thier's is "Rain."

Creed was a great band. There biggest critics was that they sounded like Pearl Jam. It true there were heavy similarities but we’re still a great band in their own right.
