Bee Gees were one of the greatest groups of all times.
Nothing digital, no auto tune, pure talent raw and real. Kids today, have to be scratching their heads, how come our music doesn't sound so full and rich?
They're brothers...and its ALMOST perfect.
Real singers who wrote their own tunes.
Younger people are stunned by how good music used to be back in the day.

As a person who’s grew up in these times all I have to say is that people who grew up during the late 60s to the early 80’s got to witness the best music that has ever been.
No editing, no processing, no auto-tune...just pure talent by three brothers who didn't sing *about* women, but sang TO them.

The music of the past was the best even life itself. The younger generation is lost and bewildered in what there life is all about. She has no idea they are all brothers, but I am very happy she is enjoying one of these masterpieces

Love the BeeGees. Wish they were still around. Not only were they great performers, but they wrote many, many hits for some of the most iconic singers.
Technology takes the heart out of today’s music. You need real instruments and the beautiful voices of the Bee Gees.

Songs from 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's made you happy, sad, dance and evoke memories. Today nothing! Noises.
These are 3 brothers that sang together since they were children. It's purely second nature to them.
3 brothers, one microphone.sibling harmony is the best.
@audiolaudio8965
11 күн бұрын
Why were 3 people sharing 1 microphone when obviously they could have easily each had their own? The answer hearkens back to the times of the early 50's and 60's when performers such as Bob Dylan, the Beatles, the BeeGees etc. were in the early days of their careers and had not yet achieved their later financial successes and fame. In those early years, each microphone represented a significant financial cost to them. To reduce the number of microphones that were needed, musicians would often pair up on one microphone particularly those musicians providing vocal harmonies (in some cases 3 voices would converge on 1 microphone - The 3 BeeGee brothers - Robyn, Maurice and Barry did do this quite often and are a perfect example of this ... particularly in the above video recording of a live performance in a charity benefit concert of them performing their song "Too Much Heaven" ... a masterful use of 1 microphone shared by 3 people and with stunning result!). But to use one microphone effectively in this way required practice, practice and more practice and discipline wherein the needed skill and coordination of the performers would gradually be acquired. The closeness or proximity of each performer to the single microphone would determine the needed dynamics of each voice, moment by moment, throughout the performance and in itself represented an act of choreography. It was a practice primarily from the 60's when musicians had a significantly lesser amount of capital available for the acquisition of musical equipment that was needed. But, it was an approach that actually worked very well and because of that, performers from that era, still employ it often as a preference and are not quick to abandon it. FYI.
This song was recorded in one take live. This is what music used to be like. People actually had to have talent, there was no autotune, and all the other crutches they use today.
Tehy have over 100 perfect songs .. amazing talent
Not only did they write hit songs for themselves, they wrote hit songs for many other artists as well.

Hello Lily, I’m a Headbanger like you but I grew up in the 80s so I got to live it… And about your age I started expanding my music which you’re gonna find out there’s so much out there. I was a DJ for 25 years in show clubs, where we only played rock ‘n’ roll… The one thing about the Bee Gees a lot of people do not know, that one time they were as big as the Beatles… When the Beatles began, you were either a Beatles fan or Bee Gees fan I don’t know much of old music, but I had a friend who taught me about them who was just as big as a BG fan as he was a Beatle fan… Just thought you’d like to know
The Bee Gees were unique. We will never see this again.
I listened to the BEE GEES growing up. Real music, real musicians, real singers , real song writers. REAL MEN with real families.
Now you understand why the Bee Gees were so big. Their voices were silky smooth magic. I was able to grow up on this music. Heavenly (pun intended) voices. Smooth instruments. Just pure talent.
These 3 brothers used to sing together in their bedroom as youngsters and their mother thought they accidentally left the radio on!! She opened the door to turn the radio off and realized she was not listening to the radio!! The 3 are savants born with perfect pitch!! They are an amazing gift to music! When they recorded a track they did it in one take! RIP Robin and Maurice we love and miss you!🫶

At 74, these were the times of my youth. If I could give one gift before I leave, it would be to let children see how much better life can be when you devote your life to good things. 34 years of marriage to a woman I love more than the day we married. I hope to die with her hand holding mine.

Ladies and Gentlemen you have just experienced greatness.
Barry in the middle was 32, and Maurice pronounced Morris( beard) and Robin (clean shaven) were 29 when they recorded this. Barry was 9 and the twins were 6 when they first performed publicly.
My Boomer mom got me into the Bee Gees when I was about 8, I'm going to be 42 in two weeks. Barry is my Fav Gibb. That's the one in the middle with the high voice. Every time I hear this song I just lean back, close my eyes and smile. You don't hear music like this anymore. With just natural talent...No Auto Tune, computer sounds or 'gimmicks'. Just Talent. OH! You should listen to Chicago. Their SUPER good too!
Their range, harmony and song writing skills are second to none. The Brothers Brilliant never disappoint. This was before autotune was even invented. Pure raw talent!
Their harmony is probably the best ever in the business. Berry was the oldest and he's the only one still alive.
I agree with you. They not only sing beautifully, they use their voices like instruments.
they harmonized like no other.. go listen to their live stuff, nights on Broadway is amazing..even the songs they sang when they were young like 3 kisses of love., which i love btw..unbelievable.. keep going down the rabbit hole ..buckle up its freaking huge...

"You've Lost That Loving Feeling" by the Righteous Brothers is the perfect song, you should check that one out if you haven't!
It was the '70s. There was no auto tune. A lot of these vocalists and groups did everything in one take. Pure talent. Groups from that era (70s-80s) even sounded great live.
The Bee Gees are responsible for writing 100’s of songs.
You answered your own question. It was pure music. The orchestra, the voices, the music, everything. There were no computers fixing mistakes, it had to be done right and it had to be done well, and they knew it. Hence, perfection. As a side note, in those days a person needed talent and lots of it to make it. If that person happened to be attractive it was a bonus. Today, it seems the person must look good and be young, and talent is a nice bonus. Of course, maybe it just looks that way to me.
So many people associate The Bee Gees as being Americans. But I'm proud to say, that they were born on the Isle of Man UK. And lived, for a while, just down the street from my parents in Manchester. Until they moved to Australia. So I claim them as British. So much talent came out of my country and especially my home city.
Listening to them gives me The HEEBY BEEGEES!!!!!👍👍👍
