I saw an interview with Angus Young, the lead guitarist, and he was asked what he thought about being considered one of the best guitarists of all time and I'll never forget his response: "I'm not even the best guitarist in the band." Such humility.

This young lady, is our music. This is what we grew up with, and nothing can touch it.

The singer you were listening to was Brian Johnson, who joined after Bon Scott passed away. Consequently the first album that Brian Johnson sang in was "Back in Black" which became one of the top selling albums of all time of any genre. If you want to listen to a Bon Scott fronted song, then "Highway to Hell" is probably his most well known, though "Whole Lotta Rosie" and "Big Balls" are both fun.

I think you would know some of their other hits when you hear them. They have a ton of hit songs, a lot are played at sporting events. Like others have said Bon Scott was the original lead singer but passed away. This lead singer Brian Johnson joined the band when they realeased the Album Back in Black, which did very well. I've seen AC/DC in concert a few times in the early 80's. Great reaction, you've got a new sub! Keep up the great work!! It looks like you're having fun with your channel which is great to watch!!😉👍🏜

But great a drummer as Phil Rudd usually is? He never quite nails the Chris Slade drums on the original Thunderstruck as seen in this video. No disrespect meant to Phil at all. He's always been a great drummer for AC/DC. It's just that Chris Slade owns the badass drumming on this song. It almost seems like Phil doesn't really like playing it since Chris Slade just... Slayed it. Just saying.

How right you are.

This is one of those historic, iconic songs that even if you aren't familiar with, or a fan of AC/DC, or don't know the name of the song, you can't help but recognize the tune. It's quite literally everywhere.

I'd like to formally invite you to what we call REAL MUSIC.

AC/DC really knew how to get the audience all charged up. They are a high energy and flashy performance driven group. That being said they have a sound that is immediately recognizable. They have a pile of hard driving hit songs which are great for road trip tunes. I'm partial to Highway to Hell and You Shook Me All Night Long. Judging from Diane's boppin to the beat she'd chair dancing till the music moved her feet onto the dance floor. Rock and Roll forever.

If you had never heard this song before, you have not only never listened to radio before, but have also never been to a sporting event before.

Your face perfectly summed up what I felt as a 5 year old when I first heard AC/DC! 48 years later, still one of my most favorite bands. So glad you enjoyed it!

Hells Bells, Thunderstruck, Highway To Hell, Back in Black, T.N.T, and Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap are their biggest and best songs.

I envy anyone who gets to hear AC/DC for the very first time. Must check out this song and many others Live at the River Plate in 2009.

Acdc are very much an Australian band and a fabric of Aussie Culture from our "pub rock " scene. A recommended acdc track ( one of so many ) is " it's a long way to the top " from 1976. The music video for it was filmed in Swanston street in the heart of Melbourne. Really iconic.

I'm pretty certain this is first time I see your content but damn I love your reaction! I've been listening AC/DC closer to 40 years but your initial reaction is priceless! We old farts are not the only ones who can respect and love this energy!

Angus Young's (the guitarist) brothers Malcolm and George were founding members of The Easybeats, so the whole family are Australian rock and roll royalty. Proudly Scottish but also proudly Australian. It's widely acknowledged that George Young and Harry Vanda meeting at the Villawood Hostel changed Australian music for the better.

Agreed, after work I used to put the top down of my convertible; pop in Thunderstruck; turn up the volume and be-bop down the road slammed by my hand against the steering wheel; bobbing my head all over and singing right along my with Brian at the top of my lungs!!! I know ADCD rock band for a very long time. They are one of the best Rock bands ever. Their song tracks are absolutely brilliant. Love it. I've known acdc since the 90s

This is one of the Iconic songs of GenX. The Dead, Pink Floyd, Steve Miller, Areosmith, Alice Cooper and yeah, AC/DC.

There are so many songs from this band that are worthy of a listen. I could name at least 15-20 without trying hard. Thanks for getting this one out of copyright jail and into your catalog.

Yeah, I remember bunking off school in the 80's and getting caught the next day because we had black tour t shirts under our white school shirts that showed the date! A few weeks later same thing happened with Motorhead!

That whole album is bangers. You can't help but love that song. Makes you want to dance.

Diane, saw AC/DC in 1978 with Bon Scott in a small concert venue in NJ USA. The metal boys were there as well as the punk rockers. Surprisingly, everyone got along with no fighting. Show was LOUD with high energy!

I just saw them play in October at Power Trip. They are still amazing. The whole opening was sung by us, the audience of 100k.

My best friend got me hooked on this group when we were much younger than we are today. I used to believe that he was a headbanger, but little did I know how great this band or their music really was. We did the Angus Young move at his wedding. So f'ing awesome!!

Angus literally runs a marathon every live show.

Actually, you were not watching Bon Scott as the lead singer in that video. That was Brian Johnson. He was hired after the tragic passing of Bon Scott. Those guys are icons and legends. Rock gods.

Saw them perform last Saturday and it was one of the best damn nights. I don’t care how old angus and Johnson is, they still put up a damn good show. Johnson still had his voice and angus still shredding . It felt surreal seeing them perform and still can’t believe I had the chance to see them.

If you really want to expand your insight & be completely blown away,the acoustic version by 2 Cellos is truly magnificent !! The video is set in the time of Mozart & the audience is split between stunned & mortified by what they're witnessing ! Both musicians are classically trained virtuosos & remarkable performers,a must see !!!

As I recall, that singer was hired to replace the original singer who passed. And one of the main reasons is because his voice is remarkably similar to the original singer. Loved your energy in this one! Made me smile big!

I have worn out so many albums, 8 tracks, cassette tapes and cds listening to them over and over again.....when Thunderstruck came out....on my 3rd cd.....lol....I have been to so many concerts....lost count...........ROCK ON AC/DC.....ROCK ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, first time for AC/DC, eh? Was hard to miss them in the states as they are now part of Pop Culture here in the USA and you can bump into them on TV, in the movies, commercials, they have been everywhere and it was easy to see why, as most people love them! Do Hell's Bells live at the River Platte for a great tune and bonkers crowd. They have tons of great tunes, enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎸🎶

grew up with them as one of the best sounds. They did a gig in Knoxville Tennessee at the Thunder Dome. They were never allowed to play there again because they were so loud, they cracked the dome😲

That "little trick" translates into one of the best lead guitar performances of all time. Enough to earn him as being voted the best guitarist in AU, and easily one of the best in the world.

I love the gradual realization/shock that these guys are some of the best ever to do it! You sit mesmerized for the first 2 minutes plus then bang your head for the remainder!

The look on your face as the band swung into action was priceless! You had me in tears I was laughing so hard.

Thanks Diane! I enjoyed this song, and I like AC/DC’s music in general. They have a song “It's a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock 'n' Roll)” where Bon Scott plays the bagpipes which is pretty cool for a hard rock song. 😂

This was the battle song of the USS Wisconsin BB-64 during Desert Storm! Every time we went to Gun stations to fire the 16" guns, this song was played over the 1MC! It motivated the crew! It was selected by our Skipper!

Saw them perform at my small community college in ‘78. Rushed out of my night class over to the basketball court. They were sooo loud.

Diane- this is a great video selection. I am not a huge AC/DC fan, but this is one of their songs that I have always liked. This is always a great song to play in a stadium right before a big game…..definitely gets everyone fired up.

The greatest Aussie band ever! And one of the greatest rock bands of all time. My favourite band since high school when I first heard Highway to Hell. Rock on, Dianne, and Chewie!😂

@stevenfox6278 the Scots, Angus and Malcom Young, were born in Scotland, but their family moved to Australia when they were little kids. Yes, Brian Johnson is an English man. But, the band was formed in Melbourne and the band has always been based in Australia. Google AC-DC and it will say that they're an Australian band.

@@terryomalley1974 You can't just ignore the fact they were Scottish, Bon Scott too, and their brother George Young produced their early work. Of course they had Australian influences, but their love of music came from their family and their Scottish heritage/upbringing Perhaps Scotstralian might be a good way to describe them

@SH-lm6ek I'll go with Scotstralian; however, Angus, Malcom and Bon Scott all lived in Australia since they were wee tots. You can tell be their accents in interviews.

Butt-head started it for a new generation perhaps, but by 1981 they were all over. I was at a concert, can’t remember who bc they were opening act, but singer had on AC/DC shirt. This was 1982-83.🙂

I grew up on listening to AC/DC and even went to some of there concerts... One of the all time favorites and yes I'm generation x 😁

This is a banger! I enjoyed seeing "Shocked Diane" again. You should also check out "Dirty Deeds, Done Dirt Cheap" from their earlier incarnation, with Bon Scott on vocals. Brian Johnson was the vocalist here. He joined after Bon Scott's death. I liked both eras of the band.

Anytime I see the title "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap," I lower my voice to sing it, and I sound like I've chain-smoked a hundred years. haha

One of the best Rock Riffs of all time. AC/DC’s best as far as I’m concerned😍😍

AC/DC is one most legendary bands, across all music genres, of all times.

Growing up in Australia, even in the early 2000s, AC/DC was the most music my brother and I listened too, there are a even more Australian Bands that are extremely popular as well such as Midnight Oil, INXS, Men at Work, Bee Gees, The Angels, Cold Chisel, Australian Crawl, Jet, Crowded House, Daddy Cool there’s so many bands that have created songs that are known worldwide.

The 80s & 90s Melbourne, Sydney & Newcastle culture created one of the most unique rock I think.

I love Angus' playing at the first with one hand. He's so awesome!

@@xScooterAZx I had the incredibly good fortune to see them live in Hannover a few years back. In the intro, Angus played for nearly two minutes with hammer-ons and pull-offs. I was just astounded. What a beast!

There is no way that someone has never heard any AC/DC song! They are everywhere. In the radio (ok, granted not that often anymore) in movies, etc.

God Bless this young, innocent lass lol.... To get her mind REALLY BLOWN WIDE OPEN, might I suggest watching AC/DC's Live @ Donnington... She'll come away with a MUCH fuller apprecitation of this LEGENDARY band, the eponymous "Thunder from Down Under" RIP Bon & Malcolm, respectively.... \m/ \m/

Whenever you hear the opening riff to this song in a movie you know something awesome is about to happen.

My dad introduced me to acdc when i was a kid i grew up listening to this stuff.
