Found them no they created the Stones. Just as was mentioned in another comment Creative mode is just establishing a connection with the SciCraft server, the reason why whenever you break a block in creative mode it doesn't leave anything to be picked up because they turn your character into a hopper to gather resources. They are the gods of technical Minecraft.

For those who didn't understand the Ore RNG switch at 13:20: Someone looked at the game code. It's written in Java, which is considered human-readable code, if you're a software developer. They noticed that the code for Random Number Generation (1) for certain features (weather, fortune, etc) depends on what world chunks are loaded in game. This is a clever system, since people wouldn't guess it, and on a normal server this would change constantly as people move about, and it doesn't cost extra calculation. So, scicraft do the maths (2), and work out which chunks need to be loaded in order to get the highest resources from fortune 3 ore-breaking. They then build chunk loaders (at this stage based on chests, but I think it's now redstone based since 1.15) and they forced the necessary chunks to load. To recap: - Read game code - Work out random number generation - Load chunks by using fancy machines - "Random" mining is set to maximum - Profit (1) "Random" numbers in computers aren't really random, but are designed by calculating a number that people wouldn't guess, which should change regularly. Some random number generators use 'UNIX time' (computer format). (2) You will probably need a degree in maths, physics, or engineering. Some of the maths to deal with other chunks in use is probably complicated. I'm sorry you had to wait 7 months for an answer, but I hope that makes sense.

This is a good explanation! I understand more about both the game and these guys' techniques now because of it. I also like that solution, that using currently-loaded chunks is how the game determines some things. Smart stuff!

SciCraft be like: So we made a slime powered machine that bends time and space using this new 1.16 exploit that transports unloaded chunks to the nether dimension where our 678 block wide auto-miner crushes the whole chunk and our automatic hopper collection system brings the block drops to the shulker box storage system wich makes the server lag and the lag makes all flying mobs in a 500 block radius (from spawn) duplicate. This causes the next unloaded chunk to glitch out and it randomises all of the blocks in it. Theres a 34.65% chanche that one of the blocks is a dragon egg. Spawning a second dragon egg makes the game logic act weirdly. This will result in all slimes teleporting in the nearest jungle biome. The nearest jungle biome has our pressure plate-based flying machine launching system wich makes the slime block machines fly to build height, where we have our game code converter wich automatically installs a data pack from a web site. The sudden data pack download causes the end dimension to completly crash (due to the 13 sugar cane farms near the machine) the enderman spawn rates get corrupted and they usually spawn about 5368 endermen to coordinates -789 78 233 instantly. This makes a third unloaded chunk spawn in the nether (where our autominer is, remember?) but because its the third one, it causes more lag and the endermen burst out to the overworld. This is where the minecart railway comes in. It collects all 5000 endermen and brings them to the guardian farm. Because those are such ridiculous numbers, minecraft now decides to shut down the server completly. When the server loads again, you may notice how the melon farm produces two and a half stacks more melons than previously. So this is the reason why our melon farm is the most efficent ever. Desinging this farm + the machine took about 6 hours, it was a nice weekend project. Anyways join us next week when we recreate command blocks in vanilla survival.

If you enable that slime farm without a player in the nether, the server will die from lag in several seconds due to immense amount of slimes simulataneously loaded in the nether, and the world will have to be reloaded from backup. If you do not disable item collection when the farm is turned over, bugs in vanilla will make the hopper minecarts stuck in the middle of the rails, where it's especially hard to make them move again. If you do not enable item collection, the amount of simultaneously loaded slime ball entities will lag the server to death in several seconds, with impending reload from backup. Also you could have mentioned that not everyone followed to the nether side. The reason is that server has to send all the locations of slimes inside of that spray to every player, and if there are too many players in the area, server's bandwidth gets used up, and... you know. High-throughput farms are no fun to operate. The game barely holds the load.
