@@NursingSchoolExplained I wish we had med surg professors like you, a professor who is supportive and truly invested in our education. Effectively helping us understand the best ways to help patients, instead of scarring students and blaming them for things they don't teach us, or barely explain to us. I hope we that at least for the next 2 semesters in my school, I encounter better nursing professors like you 🙏 Thank you again

So giving mannitol or 3% hypertonic solutions can put the patient at risk for hypernatremia? Since both medications are treating hypotonic conditions an adverse effect would be hypernatremia?

Yes! Definitely hypertonic saline, but mannitol also places the patient at risk of electrolyte imbalances. Thanks for watching!

where the tumor was located. Is intracranial pressure normal and expected after surgery? And when should i be worried. I told my neurosurgeon about this and he says it’s normal. What is not normal and when should i be concerned? Thanks
