If you want to virtually stand straight up with the bar against your shins and can reach the bar, great, but I want to strengthen my legs and not moving them does not do that. So I have the bar out from my shins so my ass is down to 10 deg above parallel and that is where the bar goes against my shin. The bar goes where is put my ass and my shins end up, not the other way around. Toes slightly out is for lateral stability, maybe is one leg is stronger than the other is how it came about.

It's all sorted out now settle down. The plates will be weighed on stream live and the ref is arguably the most respected in the sport. It is down to thor for him to gain his WUS record, not a complete WR- different comp. It's also ironic to keep using these jokes because eddie has a partial DL WR using books as weights in a cafe out of comp refereed by Colin Bryce. The equivalent of the cat in the shed analogy.

The most respectable thing in this video is not only how great a teacher and speaker eddie is but how he showed loved to the man before him(Bolton). In so many sports, the younger/new generation neglect to recognize the ones before them. It takes a lot to be the first to do something! That's some real shit!

@@thebiggerbodycoach6557 You don't need a trap bar. Just try to have good form (you can also read Mark Rippetoe's book on barbell training) and don't increase the weights too fast. Besides: You can also hurt yourself with a trap bar (normal barbell does not allow you to hyperextend your back, but you can easily hyperextend and injure your back with a trap bar.. the top position is extremely unstable when using heavy weights)

Why you just cant love both athletes. Eddie was first at 500kg. Thor or others eventually goin to brake it. Why so much hate. Eddie tried to brake BigZ 228 log WR by couple kilos and failed. In this on goin theory Eddie needed to brake that log by 22 and get 250 for nicer number? I dont get that hate. WRs are breaking kilo by kilo. Eddie will always be remembered for lifting 500kg becouse yes its nice number, but comon. Stop the Hate.

Well, as record holder he is be default quite enough qualified to teach advices, same thing for other deadlifters being strong especially regarding to their weight (power to weight ratio). People who reached high levels in a domain are in my opinion more qualified than some trainers having a basic levels, because those people like Eddie know well which works and which does not, and have tried multiple workout ways to figure out what's the most efficient, despite not all the workout methods can fit to everyone.

Arms wider = shorter lever arm = bar higher at lockout. Think Clean vs Snatch. Eddie is built like a fridge, he needs a slightly wider grip to keep his shoulders back. The only reason the bar *might* be closer to his knees at lockout is because he moved his legs wider by about 5-6" The wider stance and grip work for Eddie, but smaller lifters like Richard Hawthorne will speak to the opposite. This stuff is NOT dogmatic, people. Find a coach who understands you and let them help you.
