The only thing bigger than his deadlift record is the ego that arrives in the room 30 seconds before him. If you’re gonna compete to be the worlds strongest man you need an ego like that to keep you pushing - to be the absolute alpha in any pack and I rate him for it because a lot of wasters have a hollow ego and a lot of BS. He’s the real deal. But man… he’s dripping with pure ego literally all the time.

The biggest mistake people make and I have been guilty of this is dropping the hips way too low or keeping them way to high. The moment your shins come in contact with the bar, should be your hip position. Do not move the hips after this has occurred and do not move the barbell after establishing the foot position under the bar(about 1 inch away from shins for most people)

What he said about the 2nd rep being easier is such a good point. After the first pull, you drop the bar straight down which automatically puts you in the right position. It's great to hear someone actually explain it cause I've always known that to be true but never understood why.

Because you’re working against gravity and gravity wants to suck it straight back down to the center of the earth. The earth pulls on you and the barbell in a straight line to the center of the earth. Plus it’s really difficult to pick up a heavy load out away from your body.

I still deadlift 405 for 6-8 reps 3 days a week at my current body weight of 175. It's a nice comfortable weight. Plust i work ten hour shifts. Make sure your cat is actually taking a shit and not just deadlifting

Hit my deadlift pb by 10kg tonight thanks to this. After watching I found out I didn’t stand close enough to the bar on my set up, big love beast!

When Eddie Hall refers to 5 kilo as "a lot of weight", I don't feel so bad about how many "5 kilos" I am away from the big 500.

Dosent make sense, if five is a lot then that means you're a massive lot away from him

Massive in human terms. 90% of men including myself will have to come to terms with or inability to exert this much power or kill our selves.

This changed my deadlift completely, pulled 315 for 5 with form and a great overall squeeze.

Hello Mr. Hall, thank you so much for your video. I struggled 1,5 years to make my first 200 kg DL and my strength always stopped at 190 KG. I saw your video yesterday and I immediately walked in the gym and pulled really easy the 200 kg. Couldn´t imagine that perfect technique is so important. Thank you best regards

Anyone else wondering where are Eddie's legendary sleeveless hoodies? I thought they were glued on.
