Some info on the new enduro bike! With the same frame parts as the DH bike and the same philosophy for suspension, the bike rides very similar to the DH bike, just less travel.

Love it! I'm actually stoked to have the straight tube headtube, as a rider between sizes most of th time it is limiting on trail bikes to have that adjustment. One of the reasons I got my latest trail bike is because I could fit in a Works cup to make it 5mm longer

I really like the shock mount. It's a good idea to allow more degrees of freedom for the shock to compensate the alignment tolerances instead to rely on tight tolerances. Also better when the bike deflects under load. Same robust design, that'st what I like.

Thanks for the details on the anti-rise. I feel like that's a really overlooked aspect of suspension feel. My last enduro bike (4-bar) had over 100% AR, and felt terrible braking, even with an O-chain. My current bikes are down around 60-70% like yours and feel miles better, even without an O-chain.

Nice job and excellent presentation, great to see you back racing.A couple quick thoughts,is there any plan to have a mullet option via flip chip etc.,and it might be nice to have 10mm chain stay length adjustment, say between 435 and 445 if possible to accommodate tighter riding conditions.Weight will definitely be consideration for some, but seems like you have it all covered, best of luck and obviously your hard work and determination is paying off.Final thought, can't wait to see Asa Vermette racing world cups and it would be amazing to see him riding your bikes at those events!

Again love the straight forward, honesty of the videos and process, so refreshing, looking forward to seeing where this goes. With regards to the tubing and HT, yup definitely some weight savings there, but I'd still want the HT to accept a standard that can run angle/reach adjust headsets easily so you could tune the bike if you're riding seriously steep vs not so steep or really tight vs more open. Geo looks about on par for that sort of bike, but STA for me is WAY too steep. So as someone who's NOT a fan of super steep STA, I'm curious when you say you were out all day pedaling, was that all just basically winch and plummet type, i.e. climb to descend or did you do much, if any flat/rolling terrain or long mellow climbs/mellower climbing? What sort of effort would you say you gave when not descending?

I love the straight seat tube and long rear end and external cable routing. Also 39 lbs isn't too bad for an enduro bike, my 2019 Meta AM with 27.5 DH casing tires and a coil shock is also 39 lbs. If you can put in huge amounts of FEA and trial and error and testing you can prob take it all the way down to 36 lbs. Not really worth all the effort, IMO, unless you plan on mass production and selling 10,000 per year.

  • @obi-wankenobi9871

@@obi-wankenobi9871 what you say may be true, but my point was going through all the engineering r&d effort required to reduce the weight a marginal amount is a very large effort and will be expensive. It becomes diminishing returns unless he sells a huge number of frames.
