    great Job. I hope your business does well. For the folks squaking about costs, The rate for manufacturing has gone crazy just like everything else. Low count builds are super expensive nowdays and he even said that they are keeping the number low on this build to accommodate the racers that it was designed for (very cool effort there, hope you get 'em all built in time). My M9 frame was 3500 10 years ago and it was a higher production frame. I really want one of these but I don't use my DH bike much, hopefully he/they will produce an enduro rig, i'm game for that one. Good luck, you have definitely did your homework and it's great to see a FTW frame out there.

    Have been following from the beginning. Congrats on launching the product. I hope the first batch sells out today. I would pre-order today, if you had a small size. Youth categories are growing rapidly. There aren’t many options for small, light riders. Parents will spend the money. My son has 3 bikes, about ~$25k spent, and he’s asking for a Commencal or V10.8 for Christmas. I’d rather buy Frameworks.

    That is pretty much the purpose of a prototype. They fail and you make improvements as you go and learn new things, up to the final version. Neko has always explained the reason for the failure and how they addressed the issue. Imho a pretty solid approach in an industry which to this day is severely lacking in this area and often times just has industrial designers throw something together on their computer and then heads straight to production.

    Yeah you're right. He should pretty much give these away at a lower price. Never mind the time it takes to hand make them. Never mind paying Frank and his shop a reasonable salary to make them. Never mind the fact that Neko has spent thousands and thousands of dollars to get to a point of production.

    Neko, it's been great so see your journey as you've designed, built, tested and refined this bike, really has, however, $3900 USD for an aluminium frame with no shock is just so far off the mark compared to any other brand it's not funny (highest I could find, with shock DHX2 was $3k). Yes I know you're a small company and it's made in the USA, but still, that is custom pricing for a stock frame - paying for "made in the USA", that's cool and all for those from there, but doesn't matter so much for the rest of us once the quality is good, doesn't matter where it's made (of course once it's not slave labour doing it). Just my $0.02

  • @david_kahn13

    @david_kahn13

    8 ай бұрын

    I think you failed to understand the drastic difference in just about every aspect of this brand vs the brands you are comparing to. You may want to read into economies of scale. You're not just paying for the "made in the USA" badge... You'd be surprised at the corners cut and details overlooked by brands who are creating products that yield the biggest margins they can. It's no secret Neko is doing the exact opposite of this and that means a much higher cost associated (not to mention the very small production run in comparison to a big brand). I can assure you, that if Neko and Logan wanted to make the most money they could, they wouldn't be undertaking a highly specialized and extremely time-consuming project that is directed towards one of the smallest markets in the cycling industry. Passion > profit. It sounds like you'll have no issue finding a frame from any of the big brands with lower price tags as you mentioned. Just my $0.02!

  • @spectralfire10

    Guess you didn't look very hard since Commencal Supreme frames are $3200 with no shock. They're also making 100 of these. It may be "stock" geometry but these basically are custom bikes.
