I'm surprised Marcus didn't bring up the infuriating fact that Mystic Force eventually turned into a red-centered show. Because Nick was the sparkly white globe of light every weird hermit on the corner of the street talked about, he had major importance placed on him. The other Rangers were made to look like random people chosen to be in this conflict while Nick was DESTINED to be so. That setup makes the ending even worse: Nick was ready to give up the fight completely before Madison had to kick his ass back into gear. Then, all of a sudden, HE'S the one beating back the final boss and leading everyone to victory...when he's the one who was willing to let them all down. For some reason, this was the guy chosen to lead the entire team, not someone like Chip or Madison, because Nick was the one with the magical parents of super-powered destiny. THAT HE NEVER EVEN REALLY KNEW.

This is all because they had just rushed everything at the last minute because the higher-ups at Disney told everyone that now the show was lasting for at least 32 episodes at the time. And the finale really does feel like it should have been at least four episodes instead of two episodes. Hell, if the show had lasted for 38 episodes, we could've had something.

In terms of opening and theme, magi Ranger is obviously better than this mystic force. Not to mention, they also have a lot more better background music while mystic Force is a little bit good not bad. Red - I honestly didn't mind Nick. He came off as a bit reckless just as his original counterpart. However he was a bit more of the Lonera type & a bit more mature. He has a perfect setup and an interesting I isolation that opened him up for character development. Regardless, this one goes to Kai. Despite being a shonen jump character, his recklessness and impulsive behaviour fits his position a lot more as he's the last child therefore being bratty and he has grown and learn from his siblings from the stupid mistakes and acknowledging them. I feel like with Nick, he feels too much as the only character to get so much Focus yet nothing really is substantially strong enough compared to kai. I also I felt like the Japanese suit actor performance did not match with the American counterpart because Takaiwa seji play as magi red at the time. His performance was more accurate to Kai's body language. For instance, magi green got to save magi red. He was going to get killed by wolzard until his siblings then came to rescue him. He then got angry and stamped his feet and was swifting his head. This mannerism is almost perfect to Kai's behaviour and of course to the emotion he was feeling at the current moment. While Nick, would have been alright however the body language does not match while the voice of the suit actor performance at all. Of course, over time the actor has gotten a lot more better and has tried but I feel like super sentai keeps this consistently. Yellow - I like chip I think that he is a fun character on the character charisma matched perfectly to the actors. However, Tsubasa was just better character. He was the brother of the siblings who was very realistic and was unsociable one (in other words the Sasuke of the family) I do agree that the actor performance was a bit monotone. However, I felt like overtime the character has improved so much and he was active actaully smart. I just really like Magi yellow. He's a badass and a Smart character. Just like his younger brother, he to had character development and has a lot to learn as he progressed he gets wiser. He looks up to siblings like pink, green and blue. Don't even get me started on that sniper episode when he lost his s*** and almost went insane but when he found solution it was f****** badass Great character. Blue - Madison was set up to be another interesting character however it felt like her awkward behaviour just remain to be consistent in the show you get the idea that she feels like she's useless and the actress does a good job for emotional scenes but the way the writer's handle this character is so Bland and so empty that it's a waste of the actress's time. Her original counterpart on the other hand urara, has more character development she was a mother of the group. I won't say she felt like the older sibling but she felt like the one that tried to keep everyone else in checked like hervmother did. She has some great moments and some funny adorable moments and some good character development. Her relationship with magi shine was pretty good and I really like it. The marriage was a little bit rushed though. Regardless, Urara is the better character. Pink - I know that Marcus doesn't like girly girls but I felt like houka worked because it gave her more vulnerability and room for growth. Vida is mostly fun and is very different to see a very tomboy like pink in a core team where there's another female most times if the pink is a bit tomboyish she's the only female. However, just like chips there's just isn't that much of character development and this is due to the fact of rush writing. Green - Xander was he lovable ladies man prick but I felt like out of all the Rangers he was the best character I also liked that the American counterpart had their very own exclusive footage with the green ranger with the boxing gloves it was also very well directed. Of course, makito was just a much better character he was fun responsible and eccentric. Though he was not the leader, it felt like both him and red shared the roles. He is a lovable,authoritative, & passionate Big Brother that loves his family. He felt very reminiscent of go red, who I also like. There are some great and funny moments with him and great character development moments with him. Makito is much better Gold - shine is a much better character because his introduction fits to the way he acts and looks which is basically young, handsome prince. He was a good mentor that had a lot to learn And grew with the team. I also like the elationship with him and blue. Not to mention in the movie he was cool and I swear I thought he died. In the American counterpart, I didn't give too much of a crap because his relationship with the crew didn't go anywhere though he was a mature teacher he felt a lot more significantly bland it was nothing that's appealing to him it was just the idea that he was older and that was basically it. Another character, who has been rushed and wasted. White - A tie. Though Udonna was there at the time, magi mother presence was felt out through her absence wiith her teachings and wisdom guiding her children. Because of that. we know her through memories of the family. Knight - wolzard is better. His voice actor sold how intimidating and how authoritative he is is. His relationship helps impact all the kids in the show. Koragg was cool but not as memorable as wolzard especially when he turned good it was meh. Overall magi Ranger is a much better show. I also feel like the series tried to introduce the magic folklore a lot more better. It really feels like a fantasy magical sentai show where as Mystic Force tried it's best to go with mediaeval Ireland or Scottish theme. It kind of work but it doesn't fixate on the magic too much and not ad nearly as much as good as the original Japanese version. The Japanese one also excels in terms of working well with it's magic concept, the family concept and there are also more than one characters that gets character development while in Mystic Force it feels like the red is the only one that gets the attention and every character is ignored despite having some interesting appeal.

Blackwing2040 I am glad to know that I am not the only one who thinks that Mystic Force is an average season, nowadays. I mean, I used to dislike when I was younger. But, now that I am older. I just don't care for it anymore. I just think as that one season of Power Rangers that only exist in memory because it had elements that remind you of Harry Potter and the Lord of the Rings franchise, but not the actual story or folklore behind magic and mysticism. Just this one world that is all magic and mystical and why it needs to be so important to know about. Seriously, I just pretty much stopped caring so much about Mystic Force and, hell. Even I stopped watching Magiranger because I am way too familiar with that story, and I started to watch Kamen Rider Wizard instead. Isn't that weird, or what?!

Also I like how when Xander tries "Plan Xander it NEVER EVER EVER EVER WORKS. Plus this is the only series where the term "Magic must defeat magic" fits.

i have it (got it as a christmas present from my friend), the gameplay is very fun and simple compared to more traditional fighters; the gameplay is akin to naruto ultimate ninja storm, budokai tenkaichi or j-stars victory vs. the roster is also very nice, having every main heisei rider, plus a smattering of secondary riders and kamen rider black. however, the single-player is pretty bare-bones and there are only 7 maps, some of which are just day/night variants of the exact same map. there's also not a lot of music from the shows unless you buy the 105 dollar premium version, which is a ridiculous price. it's a very fun multiplayer game if you can look past a lack of features and content.

Actually LeeLee's actress, Holly Shannon was Camille in Jungle Fury. Not Necrolai's actress.

The odd thing with Mystic Force is that its the shortest season of Power Rangers... and yet ends up feeling MORE repetitive than longer seasons. I think it is because so many of the fights involved stealing spells back and forth. I think that 32 episodes is approaching the minimum of making a decent adaption, but it can be done well. This show had a lot of bloat and wasted time.

Eddy Madison Until you later find out that the same guy who voived Koragg in Mystic Force was also the same voice actor of the Venjix virus in RPM and Gosei from Megaforce/Super Megaforce. But yeah, the Ron Wasserman rock demo was better.

Retro Gigas I don't know. I mean, compared to what came before and after...it's really not going to be as one of the best theme songs of Power Rangers. But, it's not nearly as bad as Operation Overdrive's theme song. Or lazy like Megaforce and Super Megaforce's tgeme song. Mystic Force's theme is really not all that great. But the instrumental version was better.

I only liked Koragg a lot better when he was evil because Koragg had a personality back then. But as soon as he became Leanbow, he just suddenly became so God-damn *BOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRIIIINNNNG!!!* and I hate that. Wolzard is fine because there was more of a mystery behind him as a character.

Lee Hunter I would say Magiranger had better story-arcs than Mystic Force, but that's only because I remember more about the characters in their personal stories, both good and evil. Than I do about any of the characters from Mystic Force. I say it's in the fault of the really badly rushed-writing.

Lee Hunter But, at least I considered Xander, Chip, Vida and Madison to be more interesting characters to watch than literally Nick, LeeLee, Daggeron, Leanbow and Udonna since I considered them to be a lot more blander and uninteresting to watch in Mystic Force. Especially LeeLee. God, I hated her character. She was so annoying.

OK now i feel attacked, i Liked Mystic Forces opening theme, i love it in fact it is top 10 of all themes in Power Rangers maybe even top 5

but half way through the show is when the 6th ranger should be showing up, now they show up way too early, i am glad that they aren't doing that at least right now with Ryusoul Gold who i felt was a little early in it but for Power Rangers probably isn't that bad, point is i prefer to get to know the ranger cast more b4 the introduction of the 6th ranger and Mystic Force soes it absolutely fine imo

I like the Mystic Force Opening the season is in my top 5 COME AT ME!

Tanner Harrod My burp is better than overdrive. Almost any thing bos better than over drive....... Except samurai, megaforce and ninja steel. Those are just awful.

I liked nick more than Kai, In fact I liked the mystic force team than the magirangers
