Honestly my favourite part of Gekiranger was just the fact that they had the actual actors record their character themes. Retsu's theme and voice was what got me interested in Gekiranger.

To be fair to the sunglasses morphers, they were made by RJ. That should be all I have to say. lol

For a Power Rangers series who's script was written during the writer's strike at the time, Jungle Fury was a blast to watch! It has a wonderful, relatable cast, top-notch fight coordination in morphed and unmorphed form, fantastic megazord battles and a great overall theme of self-improvement, redemption and trust. It's so good, I was actually looking forward to the next episode every time I watch this series! I give it a recommended 9/10! Looking forward to watching its super sentai counterpart with Gekiranger!

Oh boy, this one will be diversive down below. In terms of theme song, jungle fury own is vey catchy and cool but Gekiranger own is more like a martial arts theme (which is more compatible. Gekiranger wins. For Bgm, gekiranger wins. I hated JF bgm reminded me of Operation over..yeah that. Red - Casey is definitely more competent and has good growth. However Jan is better. Every key moment that gives Jan growth gives him a sense of earness. For example when, they fought Rio the second time and lost, the moment Jan was on the ground injured and comtemplating his failure with his Training with master Gorrie Yen. He couldn't help but comtemplate on why is he fighting for and in that moment they showed people getting killed and terrorise by the monsters. Jan realise that he is doing it to protect. It's a great moment that showed how far he has come. Casey scenario isn't nearly as that deep. I could even talk about how Jan also began to envy his team members because they all have family members but Jan didn't and until he met his dad and had to kill him because he was being used for evil. What makes a character special is not just the personality, but the growth and obstacle they are given. It's like naruto being immature but still having that well executed growth. Yellow - Ran is not bad. I do like her personality. Liliy is cute and seems to be more of noticeable character but I forgot her after while. They're both a tie. I do like Lily's actress performance but her voice acting is really... Bad. Blue - similar characters but. Retsu seem to be the more artistic one which I am captivated more by honestly. However, theo demonstrates his intellect more and had more growth. This of course doesn't mean Retsu doesn't have growth especially his training when he got hos arm broken and relationship with his brother. Theo development is consistent so he srands out more. Theo wins. Violet - Gou is not a bad character. His back story with Rio is deep. However, RJ is more memorable and plays a more relevant supporting character role than Gou (this is due to him playing the role of mikki shafu). RJ wins. Gou would have gotten it if he had came a bit more earlier. White - Ken is better (lol). He is funny and I like how he demonstrated his role of his geki being different. Dominic is pretty forgettable. Green - Mele seems like she is a bit more flexible. She could be cute and threatening which gives her a very interesting dynamic. Her growth is pretty goodnin the show and they don't make.one dimensional. Camile is a bit more serious but growth is just not as fleshed well. Black - Jared is a character that...let's...You know what, Jared sucks. I didn't like him. The concept of his rivalry with Casey sounds good but it's soo focus on him whinning that he gets annoying. Rio os a character that is traumatized by his family getting killed that he despise the weakness he had. He uses that as his driving force to gain power because he can't see himself ever being. Rio is not mind control or anything. He was a legit threat and prsence felt like he shouldn't be messed with. His development in realising he was being was a complete spit in the face in everything he achieved. Rio is better Long - is a villain that makes you suffer just because he is bored. He ruined the child hood of Jan and Rio just so he could create an outcome or an ending of Rio destroying the world. Honestly, as simple as that sounds that's not only terrifying but pretty fucked up. Dai shi is...eh 😕 he is not really...memorable..but hey he is not Luthor sooo... Yeah? Long is better.

jungle fury is underrated by alot of people but gekiranger is one of my all time favourites, fight choreography, sheer character growth for heroes and villains alike and an overall very interesting narrative and aesthetic. I understand peoples iffyness around jan but I personally find him endearing and unhatable (jan:*smiles* me: I can't you ya scamp you)

Rio's backstory and charecter, motivation and goals is much more interesting than Jarrod just being possessed by dai shi and Rio and mele's relationship and mele being a fan girl is much more better and cuter than Jarrod and camille's relationship. But other than that,i like Jungle fury better

It was tough to choose but I have to give it to Gekiranger, I mainly love Jan's development as a character because in the beginning I found him annoying but grown to love as he was toned down as the show went on

I've never been so torn in my life. I love Jungle Fury and Gekiranger equally. There's no way in hell I can pick between either 😭

Gekiranger is my all time favorite Sentai. And a million times better then jungle fury. The geki changers are way more cool then sun glasses. And Rio and Mele are way more compelling and relatable then Jared and Camille.

RJ is probably one my favorite mentor characters right behind Doggy Kruger when it comes to power rangers

You know, even though I like Jungle Fury, I came up with a parody dub for some of the characters (even though they're pretty good imo): Casey: The stereotypical newbie. Lily: The nice blonde. Theo: A simp who only became a ranger to impress his girlfriend. RJ: The "cool" cliche. Dominic: A flanderized version of Ken. Dai-Shi: Dark Specter, Octomus the Master, and Long as one character. Jarrod: The lonely kid who became a villain in hopes of gaining new friends; whines about literally everything, until getting a new power-up. Camille: The goth chick right-hand villain. FIve Fingers of Poison: Sterotypical starter brute villains; expys of Retinax and Morticon. The Overlords: 3 villains who make fun of Jarrod just because he isn't Dai-Shi; expys of Nayzor and Imperious (especially Grizzaka). The Phantom Beasts: Flanderized versions of Darkonda, with hints of Mandilok and the Ten Terrors added into the mix (especially Scorch). P.S.: Sorry for the late response.

Gekiranger I feel gets the win I feel Jungle furyy started out ok but went down hill fast ok granted was dew to the writers strike and who that got during it sucked and like other disney era power ranger shows was rushed tho jungle fury did have a sweet song

I like how gekiranger referenced Chinese culture. The masters were all referencing after a Chinese action star (except for Sha Fu, whose name literally means master). I also like the way the monsters was named. The beast-men including the fist demons are named after the anagram of their beast fists (for example, maku is the anagram of kuma, the Japanese word for bear. Mele, Rio, and Bae are the only exception). The phantom beast’s name came from shanhaijing, or the classics of mountains and seas, which is an old Chinese text about mythological geography and creatures, their motif also fits with the 12 Chinese zodiacs (even though their jyuken was based on non-Chinese mythological creatures). Same as the four phantom generals (their motif fits with the 4 sacred beasts of China)

you think jarrod is comparable to rio,his whole journey and backstory is superior to jarrod.Infact rio and mele were one of the reasons gekiranger is good.His whole pain,backstory,his prsence,him being manipulated in the end

What I love about these In Comparison videos is that they make me want to go back and watch the PR. And very excited to see them rip Go-onger apart in the In Comparison. I hate Go-onger so much. In perfect honesty, I remember watching Jungle Fury and being thoroughly unimpressed, but I want to give it a second chance.

I liked Jungle Fury *a lot* better. But thats just me. Casey was such a better character than Jan imo and his arc was so relatable and unique like god i wish we could get more Red Rangers that werent super confident. I also just really liked the story a lot better than in Gekiranger, the only things that i really think Japan did better on this one are Rio and Mele, they were definitely better than Jarrod/Dai Shi and Camille. But i dont think Jarrod and Camille were bad characters, theyre actually really good by PR villain standards bc they have an arc. Anyway i know well never see eye to eye on this one but i love Jungle Fury, its easily in my top ten favorite Power Rangers. Probably like sixth or seventh.

The fact that Jan beat Casey physically hurts me tho like whhhhhhhyyyy lol Casey is so much better!!! Just bc Jan has a "darker" backstory that makes him somehow *not* the most annoying character ever? People always say he mellowed out by the end but I DONT see it, imo he's just as annoying at the end as he was is the beginning. Imo people who defend Jan have no right to complain about other annoying reds bc its obvious they like that sort of thing and they shouldnt be involved in the argument bc they have nothing to stand on. Theres no difference between Jan and Lucky, or Jan and Takaharu or Jan and Daigo. Theyre all AWFUL, and the fact that you guys will defend one and not the others confuses the crap out of me lol like hate all of them they all suck!!! But hey its your guys opinion so i guess i respect it, i just dont understand some of the inconsistent logic going on.

HammerMeister1999 The logic isn't inconsistent. Jan did get better, as emphasized with his growth at the end of the show, the Go-Onger team up, and his appearance in Gokaiger where you see he became a legit teacher. Casey is great, don't get me wrong. But compare Jan at the beginning, where he was a tiger boy, to him at the end. He's a lot more patient, willing to work for something, and accepting his life as it is. He had a lot of growth and character development. Also, Rio and Jan didn't have a backstory of 'Same village, we must fight'. It was a lot more convoluted than that and it goes back a generation to Dan.

HammerMeister1999 Casey is more competent but he is fine. Jan personality gives flaws to progress on himself. Every moment of character developnent has more profound story. Like him mastering Kageki, his own personal arc and hos rivalry with Rio was done better.

I refuse to believe that RJ isn't a complete stoner.

Jan is just a copy of wild force red by the description given
