Fr. Playing GTA 5 on my PC at 1080p mostly max settings I get about 80fps average. I get the exact same framerate with the same settings in 4. That should say something. The fact I'm getting the same performance at the same settings on 2 games that are so far apart graphically and 5 years apart

I honestly think people who think this game is clunky are just too used to gta 5 and red dead 2. I don't even find San Andreas clunky. Play Vice City and gta 3 then we can talk about clunky games...

It also depends on each person though, you know? Especially with how modernized games are becoming, especially FPS games and all that, it's not terrible to consider that maybe there's a few quirks with this game. And so having mods that can perfect those little and tiny aspects a lot more makes a big difference in the world. To some people, they simply don't care and like the game for the way it is - which I respect that :)

Look I love GTA4 BUT even San Andreas was more responsive and controlled better than 4. I personally think SA is the best controlling game only matched by 5. Gta 4 feels a bit clunky but that’s excused with a new engine. Weirdly RDR2 is their most clinkiest game imho.

Vice City and 3 still really responsive and fun to play with keyboard and mouse is just than u first need to fix them with 60 fps patchs silentpatch etc because they run horrible in modern hardward

I wouldn’t say clunky. In my experience i adapted to gta iv’a movement quickly when i first got it. I’d say the movement just has more weight compared to the others

This is one of the better gta 4 mod videos I have seen. All these fixes manage to make gta 4 even more immersive and the game is already very good in that regard. Probably going to try these on my next playthrough of this game.

The only thing they ever update in GTA games is online mode and it's just adding more ways to kill more players. I've been asked to do some modding videos for GTA 5, especially the one "Making GTA 5 More Like GTA 4". But I just haven't really gotten around to producing it. I might start doing showcases on GTA 5 as I do with GTA 4 :)

I'm having a bit of trouble with simple traffic loader whilst trying to exceed the limit of the vehicles (apparently 20) been able to get it working way beyond that but went a little too greedy on it haha. What a mod list right there man!!!

You can join the mod developer's Discord (via. discord.gg/NmZvCtdfAc) and they can try and help you out with it, and/or you can join my Discord and post your configuration file for someone to take a look at.

So I'm somewhat new to PC game modding since I just built my PC 2 months ago. I just added a ton of mods to RDR 2 and it works awesome and was very simple. I'm looking for a similar way to mod GTA 4 yet all the vids I've watched seem a lot more complicated. Idk maybe I'm just tired but I'm going to give these mods a try. You do a great job of showcasing how each mod changes the game. I just wish there was a merge that was more simple

Try out the revamped IV weapons mod. It’s the best weapon overhaul mod out there. Faster fire rates and higher damage adds a whole new element to shootouts in this game. Maybe a specifically weapon/combat focused video can showcase this new mod.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. I like semi-firing in this game a lot (in many games actually), so having this firing delay in the game is frustrating and makes semi-firing look very strange. Thanks for sharing your thoughts ❤ Hope you enjoyed the video and are trying these mods out!

Thank you! I’m glad that you find these assortment of mods to be optimal for your experience! To answer your question, it kind of depends. Do you plan to stick to the Complete Edition or move forward to the downgraded editions? If you plan to downgrade, then all of these mods will work with a different version of FusionFix. Now, if you plan to keep yourself on the Complete Edition, then only some of these mods will work on GTA IV: The Complete Edition (latest update) - that being these ones: - DXVK - Improved Animations Pack - Bullet Penetration - Beaten & Bruised - Sprint in Interiors - Customizable Niko - Another One Map & Radar Mod - Whiz Wireless Cellphone To get the other ones that will work properly (Responsive Plus, Liberty Tweaks, ZolikaPatch, GTA IV Extra Options, Better Wardrobes, No Cursor Escape, and Simple Traffic Loader), you will need to downgrade GTA IV. That would be awesome if you're saying that someone should make this all into one mod by itself. But if you're saying that someone should mix all of these mods into one archive, then that would go against the publishers/authors of the mod - since each mod is published separately.

GTA Peaked with GTA 4, sadly like all other companies that get to big all that matters eventually is the stakeholders return of investment.

Yeah, the map mod is pretty good!! 😌 As far as the police thing, you can always toggle the option if you so wish. The mod is really open to a lot of tweaks and adjustments, so the customization is endless. In my eyes, police would stop a certain manhunt after a certain number of hours/period of time considering it takes resources and time away from other events. That’s why I find it to be realistic.

zolika patch truly is a one fix all mod on this game. that and fusion fix really fixed the pc version. when i first bought this game on pc , i was shocked, i have good memory and remember that game being the best looking open world or any game until gta 5 came out and i still think gta 4 looks better than gta v but obviously gta v looks better.

I always wanted to mod GTA 4 because I just started a new gameplay and I wanted to play the game with better graphics and improved mods, which you perfectly presented in this video. But the issue is that when I started to download these mods and install them I got stuck really bad into the process, is really complicated. I have no idea how to do it :(

I may be having a video cooking up between this month or next month that will show you how to do it, but there are read me files included in the mod download files which should be able to help you. I would highly recommend that you look at those and see if they help :)

Just a heads up, the link for "No Cursor Escape" mod is wrong. Overall, great video. Just bought GTA 4 yesterday and wanted to search for some mods to refine the gameplay, and this video was perfect for it.

The QTE in the helicopter mission can be fixed by just going into game settings, setting the screen to a lower resolution and that would usually fix it, then when you were in the heli yo could switch the resolution back to normal

Ah, yes - I have heard of this remedy before. I was informed that turning down the graphics settings would fix it, but I assume that the person who told me that meant changing it to a lower resolution. Regardless, it's pretty cool that you don't have to do that anymore after having ZolikaPatch installed :)

The performance improvement on DXVK is really nice, but it seems to me that it crushes the colors a bit compared to Directx, which I find a turnoff.

If you’re talking about the colors in my video, that’s not DXVK’s doing. That’s the visual filters that come with Responsive Plus, which are optional.

@@NotAJ I am actually referring to both your video and my personal experience trying out DXVK. I also noticed the same issue when swapping between Vulkan and DirectX renderers on the PCSX2 emulator. On directx the colors were more pronounced, so there's definitely something going on there.

Yeah, I personally like the driving in the game, too. It’s not for everyone, though. I hope they do remaster the game at some point. But for now, we have modders to thank for that :)

the FPS game engine stuff is always interesting, but its basically due to FPS ranges being why higher now than in the past, typical you'd be around 60 or below sometimes higher if you had the PC and money, but as time has gone on running a game at 60fps is pretty general,

Yeah, it is interesting, isn’t it? Over the years, there’s never been a complaint about this because the game couldn’t ever have exceeded above 60 FPS most of the time. But now these days, people have monster-killer machines that allow GTA IV to run up to 300+ FPS. I mean I wouldn’t ever play at that frame rate, but playing at 140 some odd feels really good 😌

Lmao 😂 Nothing can change the first few missions of the game. But what’s wrong with that though? It’s a great build up to know some of the most important characters that develop this storyline.

One thing i wish for GTA4 is for the Arrest Warrant mod to be updated and be compatible with the ticket mod.

Unfortunately a lot of modders are shilling out to Rockstar now and only making their mods compatible with The Complete Edition.

Yeah, some people are trying to do that, which is fine. I don't think all the modders in the community plan to go forward with the Complete Edition, though. Some are still hanging on to the downgraded versions. But at the end of the day, you'll sometimes find yourself downgrading the game to get a different modding experience. Some people go to 1040 for the best visual experience when using ENB graphics mods. People like me prefer to go to 1070/1080 for a greater modding experience while still being able to use an ENB (not to its fullest extent though). The Complete Edition still has a ways to go before it can get proper capability like the older versions, of course. But the point is, the game is the same all around between 1070/1080 to CE. There are mods for CE that are still good. So just choose whichever version suits your modding needs and go from there.

True! It's an honour who made that video of shooter brothers... even byeah

For the QTE fix, luckily my mouse has macro editing software. One tap per 15ms is enough to complete the qte almost instantly despite the bug.

Hahaha, yes 😂 Crazy, isn’t it?… Just a frame rate issue, and there’s a fix without having to adjust the FPS.

I'm sure I could do something like that! I've had thoughts and intentions on actually streaming a playthrough with the mods I use :) I'll keep it in mind!

Another mod that someone that should make is killing enemies easily if they're in a car because it can be more easier to destroy any enemies if they're not in a vehicle or running away as fast because they should walk slow

I'm not sure if I quite get what you're saying about the first part, but I do see what you're saying towards the end. That's actually what the beauty is about the 'Beaten & Bruised' mod is that enemies do portray the severity of their injuries depending on how much damage they've taken from the player (or other NPCs). If the injuries are minor, then the NPC's movement will be slowed down. If the injuries are substantial enough, then the NPCs can be rendered immobile. It's such a great mod that intensifies the immersion exponentially for the player :)

5:20, Rockstar must bring back the death music. It would’ve been so iconic.

I agree, the game is good even standalone! But these mods don't take forever to install, they're very easy. Some are a tad' tedious where you'll have to use OpenIV or make sure you're not messing up anything. But if it helps to know that this list of mods are the easiest to install compared to some of the other lists I have lol

GTA IV had so much more GTA-Feeling whilke playing than GTA V. And we´re talking about the best Theme and for me by far the best Story..!

What is the best version to play with all the mods, and another question, once all the mods are installed, the game will still be combatible with icenhancer enb?

The best version to play with all the mods would be Patch 1080 👌 It performs the best. However, you can also do this on Patch 1070 (as I’ve tried and it works) and can use ENBs like iCEnhancer 3.0 and below but recommended to use without DXVK (you can try, but it’s a pain). Only ones that will work on Patch 1040 are these: - ZolikaPatch - DXVK (can use with ENB, not recommended) - Improved Animations Pack - Bullet Penetration - Beaten & Bruised - Sprint in Interiors - Customizable Niko - Another One Map & Radar Mod - Whiz Wireless Cellphone - Simple Traffic Loader - No Cursor Escape

You most certainly can and it's your preference. I use ZolikaPatch since (a) I use visual enhancement modifications very frequently, which FF is not compatible with, and (b) FF is mostly suited for CE of IV.

When you say "must have mods", are you talking about the "Top 5 Mods to Make GTA 4 Look Better" video? You can blend them both together :)

Is Zolikas patch and Extra options compatible with FusionFix? I have FusionFix installed and it too adds additional options to the configuration menus but am wondering if adding more options with Zolikas Mods will interfere with them or potentially break my game. Are there options added to the menu to turn off Object and Character shadows?

To my knowledge, ZolikaPatch can be compatible with the earlier versions of FusionFix (before 2.0). The extra options will not be compatible with FusionFix whatsoever. And yes, with ZolikaPatch, you can turn them off in the configuration settings :)

To be fair... I prefer the unmodded loading as it adds a necessary nostalgia feel along with that I wish we could see more of the loading art on pc because it's always the same 3 shots. PS3 loading screens had a lot of cool shots I wish we could see. Maybe a mod that randomizes it would be cool.

No doubt, the loading screens are an absolute gem ❤️ You can actually disable the fast loading in the ZolikaPatch settings if you so wish, you just have to do that in the configuration file. People don't even know that gta4 was massively downgraded before release because testers thought it was too advanced for gamers and that it would overwhelm them because they weren't acclimated. Features such as a ufc 4 style melee system got heavily downgraded. It originally had moving motorcycle handle bars, higher resolution and higher definition textures, a lot more too. It also potentially had even better motorcycle physics, skateboarding, and traffic laws. Sad that it got downgraded. All because some game tester was worried it would overwhelm gamers. Ugh. Lame.

This is all very interesting information... how did you come across it? I'm awfully surprised that they took their testers' word... because imagine how much better this game would've been with all those advancements in mind :)

fun fact if you crouch in vanilla gta4 and reaload an assault rifle he will actually change mags

You can have ALL of these mods run simultaneously as I do in the video 🤩 And yes, ZolikaPatch and DXVK can be ran at the same time!

Its nice to brung back the songs but the game mixes them old Vladivostok songs with the new ones from Thebalad.

I believe that there is a mod that actually restores the Old Vladivostok FM for the game without having the EFLC music. But I am also not 100% certain on that, just something that I think is out there :)

@@NotAJ Yeah, I have it... but there is also all them radio stations from GTA IV which gets kinda annoying, because you listen to the same songs all the time.
