_By. Far._ 5's MP is beyond boring, less than a year into it and the game felt pointless. And my god V's map puts me to sleep it is horrible. While IV's MP to this day feels fun and skillbased, and with a fantastic map!

This video finally pushed me to stop reminiscing about the golden era of GTA IV and actually PLAY it again. Joined the discord server, just need to set the game up properly. I hope this surge of interest from the video keeps the game alive... I want to relive my favorite gaming memories again.

"crouch bug" was also used a lot in GTA SA, and it was known simply as c-bug...im really impressed that it worked in GTA IV lol

It is so awesome to see this covered. I remember playing on the 360 as a kid/teenager and the amount of absolutely insane shenanigans friends/randos and I got into. A lot of younger guys don't understand what I mean when I say I feel like GTA 4 was better in a way, even though it's more simplistic, and it's one of those things you just had to be there for to understand. I'm so happy to see a community keeping this game alive, I will most definitely be hopping on one day

There’s a small community of us who still play free roam on Xbox. I say small because when you log in you see a lot of recurring gamertags.

I love this video thank you so much for your coverage of GTA IV's brilliant multiplayer. I do miss it because back in those days I remember flying around in a helicopter annoying players on the server where sometimes the whole server would be after me trying to take me out of the sky.

some of the most fun I had multiplayer was gta4 on that figure 8 time square map with supercars. people who crashed would get in busses and try to block the center driving forward and back so you had to time it going by them. the lobbies were so fun too.

The best part of GTA 4 online was removing auto-aim assist. This made getting into shoot outs more fun and you had to use real shooting skills without the assistance of auto-aim. GTA 5 doesn’t allow you to disable auto-aim and it sucks.

You can switch to free aim in GTA 5/Online but you have to do it in singleplayer and then go back to online, or if you just have the online standalone edition then i would assume you could also switch it while on the main menu before jumping into a session. They just don’t let you change it while already in an online session From what I remember free aim lobbies in GTA 5 are generally less chaotic than autoaim since less people will actively shoot each other, and you do get more XP per kill when you do missions with free aim enabled

Wow, this video's great. Personally, gta 4's multiplayer is really good. The little missions reveal that the online is an epilogue to the story, and compared to the 5th games online, it's much better because it's simpler.

The amount of missions i took to get multiplayer gear was insane back then, the goddamn ship mission, landing that helicopter on that field at the end of a mission.. Money truck mission.. Ugh.. you felt like that giant demon in doom eternal after a while.

I love finding the special spawns of cars or items. Figuring out all special vehicle and item spawns for all dlcs was something i did on accident. A shame they never made a dedicated spawn for the FIB buffalo

God I miss playing the online for this game. Just this clip alone brings back a lot of great memories, and I’m reminded how much more I enjoyed the physics engine of 4 over 5.

I was roaming around the server browser of GTA IV last night (in my time zone). Have you faced any connection issues in the multiplayer yet? I try to join a session but it tells me "Unable to join game" or "Unable to join you were kicked from". Is there any solution to this? I do have Open NAT Type.

I remember the simpler days of GTA IV Online. We would just drive around in regular cars being chased or chasing somebody else shooting and damaging their cars

Used to play so much GTA4 online.. now got a new PC and debating whether do GTA5 online or 4... Advice? Both would be heavily modded, with real cars, I know gta 5 had FiveM but thats been taken over by rockstar so not sure if real cars are allowed anymore.

Does gta 4 mp force you to download cuustom bloated car models like on mta:sa, fivem and ragemp?

gta5's online was basically just repeat missions that make the most virtual money, and buy new things that are more expansive than the last. gta4's online was basically a "sandbox server". free mode with cops on or off, free mode with friendly fire on or off, then much more "quick fun" game modes like cops and robbers, car jack / team car jack, and turf wars. Or long fun if you made the timer on some of those be 30 minutes. Also remember how in team death match, you there could be 4 different teams
