Ilya rules! My dad started getting Man From U.N.C.L.E on Netflix, and now I'm addicted. I'm also convinced that the only reason Napoleon is so forward with the ladies is because he knows that if he doesn't get a head start, all the girls will gravitate naturally to Ilya's superior awesomeness. While all my friends are obsessed over NCIS, I don't think they'd understand if I told them I thought Ducky was the hottest guy on the show.

I went and dug out my Windows Movie Maker project file JUST FOR YOU, so I can tell you that the blue sash is from the episode "The Fiery Angel Affair" and the bullfighting clip (with the hat) is from "The Bat Cave Affair". Hooray for straightforward file naming conventions, and thank you!

My 13 year-old daughter (who aspires to be a marine biologist, at least this week) absolutely LOVES NCIS, because of the intelligence of the stories, and the characters... Next to Abby, she thinks "Ducky" Mallard is the coolest character on the show, and finding out about Illya Kuryakin was almost a Road to Damascus moment for her. Leonard Nimoy deserves every accolade he gets for Spock; David McCallum desrves at least as many accolades for Illya.

Looked it up and it's from an episode called "The Secret Scepter Affair". I'm also reasonably certain that it's from right after something blows up, because I think he only smiles that much when he gets to make stuff go boom.

I saw a special in which a teacher said she told the girls to go home and simply say a name to their mothers: Illya Kuryakin. The girls reported the next day that their mothers went~well~bonkers, shrieking and saying, "I loved Illya!" I love it that Robert Vaughn was such a great guy, teamworking when he easily could have pulled a star trip when females fell for David/Illya. It was the same on "Star Trek", with Baby Boomer girls swooning over Mr. Spock. Shatner shared the limelight, bless him.

The THRUSH cookoos did a rush programming on IK trying to make him kill Solo. At 1:14, it's "Hula Doll" from 3rd Season. IK used Marge's closet for surveillance on the apartment next door.

LOL! I had a huge poster of him on the back of my bedroom door. One day when my best friend was over we took my little frosted lipsticks (set of 12 "Carnaby Street" miniatures) put them on our lips and kissed the poster all over! HAHAHAHAHA!!!! I will never forget that. How I wish I still had that poster with our little lip prints all over it.. I would love to tell that story to David McCallum, I think he would get a charge out of it. I think we were all of 10 or 11 years old at the time.
