*It's the highest rated show on television.* Even its reruns get more viewers than all other shows except for NFL football.

I didn't know or realize that he was also a musician. In the 1960s, McCallum recorded four albums for Capitol Records with music producer David Axelrod: Music...A Part of Me (Capitol ST 2432, 1966), Music...A Bit More of Me (Capitol ST 2498, 1966), Music...It's Happening Now! (Capitol ST 2651, 1967), and McCallum (Capitol ST 2748, 1968). The best known of his pieces today is "The Edge", which was sampled by Dr. Dre as the intro and riff to the track "The Next Episode". McCallum's version of "The Edge" appears on the soundtracks to the 2008 video game Grand Theft Auto IV and the 2017 film Baby Driver. He was truly a legendary performer in so many different ways and styles. He will be missed by all. As you said so correctly, few were able to do it better. This man is One of a Kind!

He was my favourite on that show NCIS. When I first saw him on the show, I couldn’t believe how good he looked for his age, and he just kept on going and going and going.. Good genes I suppose. Glad to know he was a nice individual, and an intellectual and talented one at that. Condolences to the entire family, this man will actually be very missed by all, including his fans. RIP.❤️

Spot on with the film release date, Bruce. 'A Night To Remember' was a brilliant film incidentally, much better than Cameron's 'Titanic'. Sadly we lost Robert Vaughn a few years ago - thought he was a terrific actor too, perhaps my favourite role of his being in an episode of 'Columbo'. @@brucekilby9957

As a schoolboy in the 60's I was a fan of David McCallum and Robert Vaughan, and as I continued to see Mr. McCallum performing later in life it was always touching, not just for nostalgia, but also for his good character. Rest in peace.

As a Brit, I know nothing about Ducky, but The Man From U.N.C.L.E. was on repeat through my childhood in the 1970s and of course he was in The Great Escape (which was repeated EVERY Christmas for years). To my eyes, he appears to have kept those boyish good looks throughout his life. What a Gentleman he was. RIP.

This commentator annoys me but typical Of ET. Notice she left out pretty much any British series. I mean he was in 6 series/30+ episodes of Sapphire & Steele as Steele in the late 70’s/early 80’s.
That man had a great life. Rest in peace.
Thank you for all you have given us. Rest know we love your work. 💔 Send love and support to your family and friends.
Rest in Peace. NCIS was lucky to have you.
There never will be anyone to replace that man. Rest In Peace David McCallum, there will never be another Donald Mallard or has friends like to call him "Ducky". Thank you for many years of good times, laughter and love. 🙏❤
I can remember the first few seasons of NCIS with Ducky, Abby, and the close knit group. They were always so close and always seemed to have each other's backs. Every character was special. The early episodes were my favorites. So much so I bought the first 10 seasons on DVD. But the one person who ALWAYS seemed to know and be there for everyone was Ducky. His character was very special. The pathology or autopsy physican from CSI had a similar "friendship" with the main character. In NCIS it was Jethro Gibbs, in CSI it was Gil Grissom. Both of them were very close to the people they worked with and that really helped "sell" the character's persona. By that I mean both of the doctors who performed the autopsies, collected evidentiary materials, were not only tops at their jobs, but they were also extremely helpful and great people. You loved their characters. You knew that they'd always find what was needed, OR they'd do anything that they could to help. They were always a pleasure to watch work. 🙏🕊🙏🕊🙏RIP David McCallum🙏🕊🙏🕊🙏 Prayers for his family and friends. He truly is a legendary actor and an even better man. God Bless you and his family and friends. He will never ever be forgotten.
I loved him when I was a teenager Had the pleasure of meeting him some years ago What a lovely men stood talking to my partner and myself nothing was a problem What a gentleman
Rest in peace Ducky, I'll miss you so much. 😭
Haven't watched NCIS since Tony and Ziva left but loved the character, Dr. Malarde. Mr. McCullum was a stellar actor and a tremendous delight to watch in this role and loved his Kiriachin in Man from U.N.C.L.E. I am glad he had a long life and pray he and his loved ones are in peace.
Thank you for all the years of outstanding story telling and acting, Godspeed young man!
Rest in Peace, David. He was great actor in NCIS, I love watching the NCIS shows! 💞🙏
Quite a repertoire ... juvenile delinquent in Violent Playground, secret agent in Man From UNCLE, POW in The Great Escape, to eccentric dissector in NCIS. Well played sir!

Am lost for words he was one great actor he may be gone but never forgotten rip
Sad to hear of he's death a great actor of he's generation, i loved the men from uncle, classic series ,and he played one of the escapees in the classic war movie , The Great Escape, that will live in our memories.❤
I loved him as Ilya and I loved him as Ducky! He also had a short-lived series in the 70’s called The Invisible Man and he did a T.V. special in the 90’s on popular conspiracy theories of the day (like December 21, 2012 and such). David also came from a musical family- his father played the violin, his mother played the cello. David played the oboe. He was also once married to Jill Ireland (they divorced in 1967 and she then married Charles Bronson). He was also one of the last surviving cast members of The Great Escape. Rest In Peace and Power David.😭
