Wow, thanks! I've been trying to figure out what kind of studs/screws to use on my muck boots!
slip on crampons are great and all, but these on a dedicated boot will generally outlast the slip ons, and will be fairly more comfortable.
Great tip. Ranchers, cowboys and farmers, the most resourceful of all.
Great idea! Thank you for sharing. God keep you and yours safe and blessed.
This winter was one of the worst for ice. I have been walking around like a penguin for months. Thanks, I will be trying these out as winter always comes every year.
No thank you folks for watching and if you have a similar idea or a better one, please let me know when the comments here. Happy trails.
That is a grate tip. Thanks God Bless.
Thanks for sharing this fantastic idea. I'll definitely be trying this out.
I have used screws in the past, but this is a much better option. God Bless Luke
This is a very good video, however this modification is permanent, I dont know how it works when going for groceries, would they slip on ceramic flooring? I suggest to make a video of you walking with them on different surfaces. Thanks
Because muck boots get clogged up by mud etc. here on my place when I wear them in and out of the barn I had a cobbler sand down the soles of my muck boots and put on logging caulk soles. The spikes are long enough that they poke right through any buildup of mud, hay and manure that builds up when I am walking around.
I may have to do that with one of my pair of boots. You should be able use them on flat bottom boots too. I have these in my wish list for the pickup.
If you use a drill instead of impact, it won't get as hot due to speed of impact. Or overturn screw and peel out rubber. Thanks for chanal.
