IBJJF TAMPA OPEN BROWN BELT ABSOLUTE ADULT FEMALE DIVISION: MATCH 1
Hey everyone!
I finally competed! I took a little hiatus after the pandemic when all of the tournaments shut down and I fell out of the routine of traveling for tournaments. So, I was a little nervous if I would feel different about competing because I am older and my priorities have definitely changed a lot in my life. But, I was so excited to be out there and had an absolute blast giving it my all and fighting against such talented girls at the brown belt level. As soon as I stepped on the mat, I felt an overwhelming calm like I never left the competition world. There’s no feeling like it and I truly missed this part of my life. My team is amazing and we offer each other so much love and support that this entire day just made my heart so happy ❤️ I am so lucky that I am in the BJJ community because the amount of people you meet at these tournaments that are just downright amazing human beings is astonishing. It really makes me grateful for the life I have been given and have worked for because I wouldn’t change it for the world. I am always learning in this sport, and I am enjoying every moment of that journey. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy this and I’ll post more next weekend!

@@melissaaengel1748 Melissa, hopefully Fallon will answer and let you know if her opponent did tickle her foot or not! That would be very cute if she did. Fallon definitely showed she was dominant over this opponent, but like you said she is so friendly and nice after the match is over! Do you think it is inappropriate for an opponent to tickle their oppoennt to try to get out of a submission? I'm glad to hear you had a nice weekend, hope you and Ann Marie are well! 😊

Where did you notice that, Melissa? It's like we talked about, wouldn't that be a nice way to try to get out of submissions rather than biting or eye poking, but rather if somebody tickled their opponent's feet or tummy to try to get out of the submission, heehee! 😊 Congratulations to Fallon on winning in her first competition back, best of luck Fallon and hope to see more videos of your matches upcoming!
