This makes me sad also bc people post stuff like this, that lady doing the make up may have been old school. Not every body knows how to do make up and all these new techniques. I am 35 and my 14 year old daughter can do make up way better than me. My generation did not grow up doing all thE contouring and highlighting and all that. People need to grow up and be mature

I just Googled to see if I could find what she was using since it looked horrible, and the brand is Jordana 2-in-1-Mascara & Liquid Liner. That's the brand they sell at a lot of 99 cent stores! A freaking MAKEUP ARTIST is using 99 cent makeup! There have been lots of reviews about bad allergic reactions from Jordana items. I'm sure for a product that costs under a dollar, the manufacturing conditions are atrocious and not sanitary for something you're putting on your eyes. Yikes!

I know about Jordana, and I'm very uncomfortable to say the least that a "makeup artist" used their product on a customer's eyes. 😐 I speak from experience when I say Jordana makeup is not good, and I don't recommend it. If anyone wants to use their products, I recommend the nail polish if anything, as it isn't half bad.

Jordana has a bad reputation because the Chinese copy version is very common. The true Jordana is low cost but not that much eighter, and even has PETA certification for being cruelty free. Although their liquid liner and mascaras aren't very good but the liquid lipsticks are really cool!

Got eye liners, lip gloss and mascara from that line nothing wrong with it plus they part of Milani. Who are original owners of Jordana they just went created a more expensive line of drug store products.

looks like old fashioned indian makeup. Foundation that is too light (light=beautiful, even if it doesn't match your color) and heavy blush. I think the woman was maybe older and only knows her style of pre-setting spray, smoky eye and highlighter makeup... Still not an excuse. continuing education is a real thing for a reason!

Omnibus League well I think that this lady probably does very well with a lot of her clients this place probably mostly gets a lot of clientele of older aunties just coming to get make up done to attend a wedding or something like that if the girl had brought in pictures of what she wanted that would also have helped a lot because a lot of modern make up artist will not even do make up until you’ve been able to show them much more clearly what you want so that you cannot see you later on that they didn’t do it you usually have to taken pictures and things like that nowadays if you were wanting a particular thing, also she was trying to help her by steering away from the smoky eye because usually you only do bold eyes or a bold lips but not bold on both and since she wanted that statement red lip the make up artist was trying to do a softer I I really don’t think she did that badly honestly she seems like she really was trying but just didn’t fully understand what the girl wanted possibly

Bruh I died when she said “we don’t do that here” about the setting spray. As if it wasn’t something we really have to do 😂

Michelle Hernandez lots of people don’t use setting sprays or finishing sprays people that make up for a very very long time before those things even became popular nobody ever had an issue with their make up until the company decided to do a setting spray in order to sell an additional product but now everybody needs it but yeah there are some that are very pretty and there are certain uses for it but it’s not like it’s mandatory to have it every time you do make up

i went to school to be a makeup artist for movies and we never use setting spray historically it came from drag queens using hairspray so set their makeup cause they would be on stage all night sweating, so the makeup world adapted and made their own sort of thing for that (i mean its great to use and everything but not really necessary imo)

I’ve been a makeup artist for almost 2 years and I had never seen a “makeup artist” ever going so rough on someone’s makeup, and ever tell their clients that they need to get their eyebrows thread. It got me irritated when the artist denied her request for her makeup and most of the products she used looks unsanitary

I loved how polite and respectful you were while talking to the lady even when you weren't happy with the makeup.

You can sanitize your lipsticks by spraying them with 99% alcohol and disinfect by spray with 70% and wiping them clean after every use but it’s much easier to depot them tbh. However I doubt she did either soooo

This legit reminded me when I was in elementary school at the end of the year we would have a show in front of all of the parents.They use to have these volunteers doin our makeup.The first year I was 6 years old and i started crying when I seen myself in the mirror.😂😂😂

i'm only half way watching this but I just needed to comment my frustration on they eyebrow application. First off, your natural brows are GORG! You have an amazing, natural fade.. Regardless, never start your eyebrow application at the front of the brow!!!! You want to work on the tail (the darkest) and make your way to the front (the lightest) omg edit: finished the video. she did you dirty, girl.

I can’t speak for other states but in California you don’t need a cosmetologist license to do makeup. A lot of artists are self taught or went to a school specifically for makeup.

I dont believe you need to be licensed cosmetologists to be a make up artist. Yeah skin care is taught when getting your license but when it comes to like make up there isnt really any rules on it

I'm a make-up artist and hygiene wise omg!!! You cannot disinfect an eyeliner so the one she's using would have been on other peoples eyes if you had got an infection you could have sued I'm shook about everything in this video
