I like how you hide the filming so they don't change the way they act. So many people do this and go in with a camera person, so of course it's going to change the way the people perform the service. And I also like how you're polite. Too many people are rude for no reason.

Generally speaking, the customer is not always right, yes they have to apologize if they are late or rude or they change their mind every 5 minutes, and confuse you.. I am a professional hair stylist and make up artist and believe me, people sometimes are awful and unacceptable!

Oh I feel you when you work hard and see someone destroying something makes others in the same business look bad when lazy or not qualified. My Boyfriends mother once recommended me her nail salon and I went there.... It looked horrible and everyone in school questioned me abt my nails and what happened. Those crawls costed me 50€ and my mother ended up paying for me because she was so sorry for me. Told my boyfriend and his mom I loved the nails and they still ask me if I want another appointment. 🤐😖

@@vinitak I totally get this. But I suggest next time maybe asking about *them* or their day or who they are/what they like rather than just ask *only* about the work they're doing, yknow? A nice mix of both. Especially since a lot of people go and get their nails done and don't say a word to the worker the whole time. It's nice to feel like a customer actually cares about *you* as a person and cares to ask. I have severe anxiety so Im awkward as absolute hell when I get my nails done. But last time I forced myself to talk to the girl doing my nails and it was actually amazing. I started off asking about nail-related stuff but then asked how her day has been, what her fav part of the job is and she ended up telling me about her vacation shes going to go on and spilling tea to me about another co-worker in the salon lmao

I like the concept of going to the worse places to see just how bad it is. For future videos maybe you should get a 30$ mic to minimize the noise you sometimes have and maybe just throw the comparison pictures up so we can see just how bad it was. The light over exposed your picture and I couldn't really tell the difference. Love your channel

holly lynne there is no such thing as „powder gel“ if they use powder + liquid it‘s acrylic. Some places love to call it that way to make you pay more for „gel nails „💀💀💀

You could do it with regular nail polish by using a makeup sponge a shape like a wedge 😊 but they still did not do a good job

Actually you can do an ombre with acrylic or polish (most common ways) gel is also possible just a lot more complicated!! Search KZread for "polish ombre/fade" or "acrylic ombre", or "gel ombre", you can even airbrush it but I don't like that method.. " airbrush ombre"

Ombré should only be done with acrylic!

I've had great results with just my natural nails and I even did it myself. Never been to a nail salon cause I always find them to be a waste of money and time. Learn how to do this stuff on your own and you'll be much happier with the results

I personally speak vietnamese and about at 9:18 the girl in the background asked what was going on then the guy was saying that you messed it up and hit the light and since i know nail stuff im sure its talking about the lights you stick your hands into and supposedly gels dont air dry so you use these special purple lights to dry your gel nail polish.

girl one time i went to the nail salon that i usually go to and they hired this new guy and he did my nails this time and not only did he do a HORRIBLE JOB! he cut me AND he touched all over this woman’s feet then didn’t even wash his hands before he touched my hands. so i had open wounds on my hands plus this lady’s feed bacteria. idk how i didn’t get a bacterial infection and die like dang. i’m pretty sure he got fired because he’s not there anymore. plus he took a smoke break in the middle of doing my nails. it was an amazing experience

Oh no.. To do ombre you use white acrylic powder not nail polish or spray. Sis I'm sorry he didn't know what he was doing. Love your video btw ! Lol

You can use nail polish to do ombré but you have to use a sponge and you can use a spray for ombré. You just have to know how to use it properly

you can essentially use anything (acrylic, gel, polish, airbrush) to do an ombré... some mediums being more difficult than others. I am a gel tech/hairstylist and own my own small salon. I would love to be able to offer acrylic simply for the ease of certain techniques (such as ombrés) but the smell of the monomer is just too strong and at this point I can not afford to add in the necessary ventilation to eliminate the smell, so I use gel colors to achieve this look. It takes a little more time and finesse, but definitely can be done.

$45 omggg that is soooo much i pay $25 for a full set and it is like a very good nail salon the highest i ever paid is $30

ombré and gradients are very closely related. what he did on your nails was definitely not a gradient. an ombré is a transition dark to light, a gradient is a transition from one hue to another (an example would be bright yellow to bright orange)

Im a nail stylist and this gives me anxiety ughhh.
