The original picture that you showed him was hard gel nails with incapsulated mylar flakes. You van not get the same result with acrylic. But please do NOT let enyone rip off your old nails with a plastic tip!! No nailtech has ever learned that in school. It rips off several layers pf your nailplate every time! Otherwhise the nails looked great.

Yikes honey. That's not fair to you, at all. I've been doing nails, hair, and makeup for 18+ years and I always make sure to tell my clients that if there's ANYTHING at ALL that is painful, uncomfortable, unsatisfactory, or just not what they'd expected, to let me know IMMEDIATELY, that I won't be upset, it's THEIR service, of which they're paying hard earned money for and MY reputation on the line, I would rather do something a second or even third time to ensure my clients comfort and happiness than have them stay quiet and walk away to NOT ever come back... I know your anxiety is a REAL and SERIOUS thing, but NEVER be timid to speak up when you're being HARMED, there's no way for us as service providers to know if things aren't ok if we aren't told... However, the fact that you were BLEEDING should've been a pretty clear indicator to the tech that they were doing a HORRIBLE job and placing you at risk for some serious infections... I'm REALLY sorry you had to go through such an awful experience... I PROMISE, not every place and person that provides personal service is THAT bad... Maybe try again somewhere else and bring a friend (the fun mouthy one) with you, who won't have any trouble speaking up for herself and you... Or just tell the tech prior to service starting that sometimes you have tried speaking up and to please be gentle, I can guarantee that you'll be met with tremendous kindness and understanding... Hope this helps if you ever decide to try again... Good luck. Remember, it's YOUR body, you know what does and doesn't feel right and are fully permitted to say so!!!!

I think it's sad that many of the people at these places are accused of being rude. Different from you doesn't make someone rude. My husband's father is Asian and he doesn't come across as a super friendly person because that's not how he grew up, but once you talk to him he's very friendly.
