For what it's worth, this is a borderline flawless movie and one of my top 5 favorite movies ever. That scene with Biscuit essentially committing suicide is one of the biggest gut punches I've ever felt in cinema. Like nobody in that scene was happy with what had happened. Boss was upset, Hoppin Bob was upset (and was hesitating to pull the trigger), and even the dude who shot Biscuit was upset. This movie has some heavy and depressing social commentary that is given with a figurative "spoonful of sugar" in comedic scenarios by some of the greatest comedians and comedic actors who ever lived. Also, the Superintendent who was going to write up the pardon papers towards the end is different from the one who had the black grandbaby. Keep in mind that by the time they were working in the mansion, about 30 years had passed since Can't-Get-Right got released, so the old Superintendent was probably long passed away by then. I know the stress of his daughter having a fatherless black baby in the 40s/50s probably put his ass in an early grave lol. Great reaction though! Your ability to react and still pay attention to the movie is an underrated skill. A lot of reactors spend so much time talking over the movie and even having sidebar conversations and they end up missing a lot of key scenes that are the reason they get asked to react to certain things in the first place. I was gonna say you earned a subscriber but I realize I'm already subscribed lol.

The cornbread scene is actually a redone scene from a movie with Paul Newman called Cool Hand Luke. The scene is not about cornbread at all.. they play it off for laughs at first but this is about pride and showing you cannot be taken advantage of. Even though he got beaten.. He never gave up. If Martin Lawrence had been allowed to give his cornbread to that other inmate he would have been his bitch the rest of the time in prison

When Claude saw the World changes from the 30s to 70s and when he saw his reflection in the car window and slightly touched his face than adjusted his tie was amazing acting from Martin Lawrence, it always got me emotional cause he was about to be a bank teller and marry his girl but him and Ray got accused of murder and it was the end. This movie was Oscar nominated, but only for makeup, and it should have been an Oscar nominated because it knew when to make you and laugh and get you emotional.

The title of the movie Life has a double meaning in that it talks about their prison sentence 20 to life particularly for a crime they didn't commit by a corrupt crooked young sheriff, but also how life can pass you by if you take it for granted because it's so short, fragile and unpredictable. But life's moral to the story shows you're never too old or too late to live your life to its fullest extent, especially with your 'friends' those you truly care about.
