There’s an iconic photo where Jim Carey was dressed up as The Grinch and Eddie Murphy dressed up as Professor Klump cause apparently they were filming on the same studio lot so goes to show you how much greatness in filmography was coming out during those times I love this film and it really shows Eddie’s versatility as an actor being funny playing multiple roles within the movie, being serious and then being emotional as well very Iconic film I enjoy it till this day!🙌🏽🎬🍿✨💯

The sequel to this and the Grinch was filming around the same time
Being roasted is one thing. Being roasted infront of your date, takes things to a whole other level.
Eddie actually spent a few days in public with the fat suit on to get people's reactions and he said it changed his outlook on how big people were treated. He drew off of that during the scene at the comedy club, you could see it in his eyes.
Fun fact: Most of the dialogue between Murphy and Chapelle in the second stand up show scene was improvised

Comedy genius should always be able to improvise they make comedy gold
We need The Nutty Professor 2 now🔥🔥🔥
The fitness show that kept coming on Shermans tv was a parody of the fitness guru Richard Simmons. He was very popular in the 90s. He was a little hyper and high strung lol. That is also Eddie Murphy playing him.
We need Vampire In Brooklyn now🔥🔥🔥. Another underrated classic

Eddie Murphy in Harlem Nights(1989) is a good one.
its wild that Eddie Murphy played most of the whole family he's so talented and I do love how sweet Sherman is

Yes, that is actually the singer that sings those songs. His name is Montell Jordan.

The original Nutty Professor with Jerry Lewis was my favorite. This version is pretty good too.
Eddie Murphy plays Richard Simmons, too!!!
Oh, forgot about this one. MJ, you would love #Boomerang It stars Eddie Murphy, Halle Berry, Robin Givens, Martin Lawrence with appearances from Eartha Kitt (legendary actress), Grace Jones (supermodel) and a very young Chris Rock.
I also felt bad for Sherman, like he started out his research out of pure intentions to help people, but became more selfish and desperate like he said, and it seemed that he enjoyed being Buddy because as buddy he was more confident and liked by everyone and probably even thought about being that way permanently because all he ever wanted was to have people notice him. But a silver lining is like said, in a way, Buddy did teach Sherman to be more confident and just be himself so in a way, it was a win
Wow I completely forgot about this movie, but I remember it was extremely popular back in the day.
This is one of Eddie Murphy's best movies, hilariously funny af
43:42 The one thing that sucks about getting old is how movie scenes such as this can make a person cry. When Sherman made that speech he was convinced that he ruined his life and tbat he would not be forgiven by the people his alter ego caused harm.. As he was leaving the ball room in absolute remorse....my eyes watered down like a water dam.
Classic this movie was soooo damn popular back in the day and still is today💯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
After a dismal start to the 90’s for Eddie, this movie and role was a return to form for him. Eddie was burning on all cylinders with this one, and his follow-up film Metro is a highly underrated action thriller. Hopefully you get a chance to check that one out. Yes, Jada was in this one. This movie along with Set It Off, made 96’ a successful year for her. I really wished she would have been in the sequel. No disrespect to Janet, but I would have liked to have seen the relationship between Carla and Sherman fully realized. This is also a remake of the 1963’ film of the same name. Although the premise is slightly different, the plot is about the same. Jerry Lewis, the star of the original, wanted to make a sequel for decades but settled for the remake instead.

I still don’t understand why Jada didn’t return in the sequel. Apparently it was because she was pregnant with Jaden. Having Sherman with a new love interest in the sequel (Janet) ruined the whole message of the first film. So yeah I agree. I would have also have liked to see the relationship of Carla and Sherman fully realised.
Great reaction...part 2 is just as funny keep'em coming
Me and Pop Pop used to watch this countless times throughout my entire life until he passed away. His name is also Sherman.
I saw this film in the theater. It was a great and hilarious experience. Great reaction! 👍🏿
Now you gotta react to "Nutty Professor II: The Klumps." 🤭😁
Have you ever watched How High, I'm Gonna Git You Sucka, or Bebe's kids if not you should check them out when you get time.
Time to watch The Nutty Professor II. There is a surprise in casting if no one hasn't brought it up yet. Hint: Its from my Jam and Lewis comment on your New Edition reaction. 😃
Eddie Murphy absolutely slayed this role. Part 2 is just as funny

I feel the first one is more classical than the second one. The second one had some moments especially when Sherman and Dean Richmond track Buddy Love and Sherman losing his intelligence. That was a very sad moment but luckily Denise tear wet the spot Buddy’s Liquid died at on the fountain, and he was apart of the water and Sherman could drink it to get it back 💯
I was obsessed with the nutty professor 2 so fucking hilarious 😂
Top 5 Eddie Movies
Beverly Hills Cop definitely most iconic Eddie Murphy character and Mr. Robinsons Neighborhood🤣.That's back when SNL was good💯😎. Good show there ma'am. Keep up the terrific work 👌 👏 👍 😀
You're good at this...I'm glad you're doing well.
Enjoyed your reaction! Eddie Murphy also played the exercise instructor on TV Richard Simmons lol. BTW you are Beyond Beautiful! 🌹
This was so entertaining no cap 🧢 you are on a another level with these movie reactions shout out to you icon much love 👑🐐❤️❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨🥶🥶🥶🥶
20:26 "Oh my god, He's gonna blow!"
Her smile, her reaction and her wardrobe are all a 10 out of 10. 😊
34:43 I can relate to that scene. When a girl wants you as a friend but you want her romantically you just want to he someone else. Totally understand why Sherman wanted to be anything but himself that evening
Murphy es por lejos el mejor comediante de estados unidos. Esa película no se.podria hacer en este tiempo. Por qué existe tanta gente pendej, que se toma todo a pecho. Saludos desde El Salvador. ❤
Great reaction, and love the shirt, it fits you.💯🌹🌹
Eddie first did multiple characters in the movie, Coming to America! Which had the two old guys from the riot movie before it, Changing Places!!!
👀 18:04 ..We all know Jada don't laugh at comedy. 😅
Im crying this joint classic 🤣🤣🤣🤣

That pic he gave Mrs purdy, was the character Axel Foley from Beverly hills cop
The exercise guru on tv is also Eddie 😂
A big shotout to MJ Eddie and nutty professor 🔥❤️👍 good job
Yeah the guy singing is Montell Jordan. He's the original singer for those songs. "Sounds weird" lol
If u haven't seen the original, it's a masterpiece. Jerry Lewis wrote produced directed acted dance choreographed all his movies. He could sing and play many instruments. His downstairs walk for the movie Cinderfella alone, should have won an Oscar! He should have won many Oscars for his original. But he was always snubbed, considered just a comedian. Watch, Nutty Professor!
33:45 Pop Pop kept saying “Sherman gonna have relation” whenever he win a game in Wii Sports/Sports Resort because that his name.
You gotta watch Nutty professor 2 now 🤣
The CGI was Crazy 😂😂😂
MJ. You gotta understand that even average looking dudes are mostly invisible to women.
Great reaction, MJWithoutSpiderman! In regards to the 1960s film of the same name, what is the stark difference between the two characters? For Sherman, I understand that his achilles hill is his weight. For the Jerry Lewis version what was his overall Achilles heal?
One of my favorite Eddie Murphy's movies .
26:52 😂😂😂 smile at you or kick field goal
I love your reactions
I like your reactions.
The Dean is always playing that character of an ass, that everyone hates.
The fitness guru on TV's name is Richard Simmons.
Yes that’s Montell Jordan he was a big star back in the day.
It’s incredible How Eddie Murphy Played All Those Characters All Shot in One Scene Amazing An Nutty professor and Nor-bit Is Very Similar Both Movies Eddie Murphy Played Very Good
This film is a remake of the original 1963 film of the same name that starred the late Jerry Lewis. In that version, Lewis played a professor named Julius Kelp that made a potion that transformed him from a clumsy, unattractive professor into the suave, attractive and overconfident Buddy Love to make Ms. Purdy fall madly in love with him. Same movie but different. 😁
You have GOT to do Predestination (2014), only like 2-3 people did a reaction to that
Anyone else like me 😏 Sar through this whole video yelling at your screen saying " It's not a Hamster 🐹 it's a Ginea pig " 😂 same kind of rodent Chris Rock voiced in the movie Dr. Doolittle 😉 .
Can't wait till you see the second one its so funny 😂😂
The reason Jada’s hair looks so funny is because she was wearing a wig. Real or not, bangs look spot on.
Loved the reaction. The Nutty Professor is Eddie Murphy’s best film in my opinion
42:39 😂😂😂😂😂 crying
