This is all I do for cardio. Getting a dog was the best choice ever. I walk mine twice a day. Minimum of 1 hour, sometimes closer to 2 on days I do hikes. No need for cardio machines. Just walk as fast as you can. Also huge improvement in my calves from all the uphills.

I walk my dog (tiny golden doodle) twice a day but just 1.5 miles so 3 miles total. It’s into town and back and she really likes meeting people and being out and about . Some incline but not super taxing. No idea if it is good for me or not but it’s enjoyable

I have a white Swiss Shepherd and I trained her to make sure to always check in with me during walks/runs and stay by my side, so she always does that now. But whenever my dad goes for a walk with her whenever I'm busy to do it, she just drags my dad to whenever she wants, and he's buffer than me. So don't worry, you just have to make sure your dog also has to check in with you during walks.

Mad respect. just started the daily walk myself and trying to hit the 10,000 step which is around 5 miles. Dogs are just that great, but people need to understand that they have needs to be met. Don't buy a dog if you just want to hug and kiss them, they're not a stuff animal and do need their exercise/your attention. 💯

Great timing on this video as I just started my morning walk routine a few days ago and am getting into the habit of doing this every single day. I’m doing my walks solo and really love the peacefulness and tranquility in the morning. Been aiming for about a 4 mile walk myself and so far I’m really enjoying the quiet morning time and my walks, followed by a stretch session. Definitely going to keep this routine going for the rest of the summer for sure! Also you got some absolutely amazing scenery around you to enjoy on your walks! 😍

Also for anyone who is thinking about getting a dog: not every dog wants to walk briskly snd fast all the time. Dogs need to explore, sniff and interact with their environment aswell. Always keep an eye out for your dogs wellfare. Its the dogs walk, not yours. ❤ you can always walk without them if you want to.

This is 1000% true. Especially with a German Shepard. Took me a little while to understand that. They stop and explore everything. What I came to learn tho is with a common route my little man is less exploratory than if we were walking a brand new route or one we used less frequently.

I walk my dog (rescued chocolate lab) during my lunch break every day. It is easily the highlight of her day. In the year since i got her I've lowered my weight, increased energy and endurance, and my blood pressure was 120/80 during my physical this past May. I still have a lot of work to do but walking the dog is easily my favorite exercise routine.

I picked up a dog during beginning of the last year and he's been great! Some days are more distracting, some days are good when we walk. And when it's distracting, we have to break it short because it's a pull-man-versus-dog-versus-chase-cats episode (on the plus side, it's a good arm bicep workout - I'm trying to work in the triceps and he's not cooperating). Overall, he's been helping me get outside too and we both enjoy it and wouldn't trade him for anything.

I have a Shiba Inu Pug mix and let me tell you, she's a pain in the ass. However, I started running with her a couple weeks ago and she is just incredibly eager to do exactly that. We do 6-8 km depending on how much I can do (she's lazy but can go on 30 km hikes no problem) and it's amazing. I get my cardio in and she's done for the day (and the day after) Took a long while to actually be able to run with her but it was definitely worth it.

Walking is the most underrated form of cardio for fat loss. I remember when I got a job as a door to door salesman and started walking for atleast 5 miles 4 times a week. My body started to recomp without even trying: bodyfat was going down but my muscles became harder and more vascular too (in combination with lifting hard 5 days a week). To this day my physique hasn’t looked as jacked and lean as those days.

Mostly in my hips, and sides of my butt. I live at sea level where it’s very flat, so I really can’t train on hills and the next climb I have planned is longer and harder.

As time has gone in and my friends, family and loved ones have inevitably gained weight they always ask me how I do stay in shape for all these years. It’s simple - I had 2 training partners that kept me healthy.

There is a lot of fun things you can do together and it really helps with bonding. Walking, running, bicycling (just take it easy when starting out, but you can make some extra miles in the same amount of time if the dog needs it) In summer time you can go on a surfboard and peddle on a lake together, which is a great core workout. Thing i like the most is hiking and camping for 1 or 2 nights.

Walking is a life hack. No one bothers to do enough of it, but when you do, the benefits are incredible. Think effortless weight loss, improved sleep, improved mood and significant benefits mentally as well. I highly recommend walking listening to a podcast, or even better, in silence so you can just think. I started walking when I quit drinking to help clear my mind and help me sleep. It takes a few weeks to really notice the benefits, but for something so easy to do, EVERYONE should be doing it. At my best, I was doing at least 6kms every single morning, walking it in about 50 minutes.

This is wonderful ❤!!! Obvs, I'm Sub'd to yous guys 'coz I identify with the fitness angle, but this Comment is just from a dog person. Two things that mainly stuck out - consistency and connection. Dogs LOVE consistency. They know exactly where they're at with you, the family, the whole pack routine identity, and where they fit into it. It's what they need to be happy, relaxed and feel loved. As for your connection with her and not listening to music so you can just 'be' with her - spot on youth 👉👉👉. She'll feel that too, in her own doggy way 😁, and it'll bind you together so strongly 😊. Of course, you now will have to do that walk every morning, or you'll be letting her down 😂😂😂. Maybe not always so far, but deffo every day. Huskys are a bit OTT, but it's not really a problem so long as you stay consistent, keep the rules and boundaries you lay down, make sure they know where they fit in, and who the boss is. And it can only be one of you 😉. They'll love you for ever for that dude 😊. Great vid 👏👏👏. Thanks loads 🙏. 😎

From the beginning of June I started taking my baby daughter for a 40 minute 4k walk in a stroller every morning and even at a 10 min per kilometer pace I was able to lose 8 pounds in a month. I workout 3 to 4 times a week and had doubts cause walking didn't seem to be enough for an exercise but the results proved me wrong. And the mental benefits are incredible.
