Dude, the real deal about any V12 Mercedes performance is not how fast you go from 0 to 60, but from 60 to 155, or, without the limiter, over 200 MPH on the W220's - W222's.

Should have gone with another tuner. Eurocharged false advertises false gains. They manipulate their tunes to show high dunk numbers but then shit starts braking. There are a ton of threads of how they blew customers engines and caused other problems with their tuning.

c32amgftw manufacturers make the output after doing a shit ton of research especially merc, audi, bmw, and other reputated high enders.Giving it to some nutjob would definitely break the car sometimes its lucky that you get some months off the tuned car.The whole drivershaft, the engine every mechanical part is tuned to the load of the car(weight and horsepower),and if its increased,it destroys the dynamics, sometimes even crosses the threshold(which leads to immediately, like this). Dont mess with cars like these, unless its a gtr.The gtr is made in such a way that it can hold a lot of mods.

soham roy thats complitely not true, first off eurocharged is one of the best mercedes tuners, second off i have a e55 amg and i got eurocharged modified and ive had it modified for a while without a single problem. plus they gave me warranty. my mods are : jhonson cm30 ic pump, eurocharged ecu tune, smaller supercharger pulley. i have close to 600 hp and over 600 tq. they have themselfes 3 e55 amgs that are modified out the ass and they have had no problems in years. dont be talking shit untill you know get a car yourself and modify it. and while gtrs are amazing to be modified any car can be modified with corresponding mods backing up drivetrain etc...

What do you mean a gtr from the factory is built to make alot of power? Anything above full tune and bolt on 600-650whp requires an engine and transmission build which is $50,000+ if you want over 650-700whp mark and that doesnt even include the cost of engine modifications like turbo kit tune Labour etc. So in reality 700whp plus in a gtr is going to cost $75,000+ if you want one to stay together as the tranmission is notoriously weak and usually blow up at the 600wtq figure also the engine internals cant handle much more than stock hp numbers, basically making good numbers on a gtr is very expensive cause from tye factory their not built to handle much more but if built they could be reliable but pls dont spread false information on youtube and say that gtr's are built for power cause from factory their very fragile. If you through $75,000 in some other cars you can make even more power dollar for dollar than a gtr, audi rs7 for example are making 900whp on stock engine and drivetrain a bmw 335 n54 engine's are handling 800+whp on the stock engine enven the new merc & bmw turbo v8's are making 800+whp on the stock engine so in reality they are better built than a gtr to handle power from the factory and tuning a factory car is completely safe as long as your tuning it to within the limits of the engine as most of the times manufacturer's tune there cars for more low end power and fuel efficiency which will limit overall hp but when you tune your unlocking the full potential of that perticular engine when done within engine/fuel limitations btw using launch control on gtr's use to void your warranty they only fixed that issue on recent gtr's so now you can do 2 launches then have to do a cool down run before it would let you do anymore where as porcshe pdk's have done 100 simultaneous launch control launches without any issues or need for cool down runs and you can use launch control as much as you want and still be covered under warranty, so what does that tell you about gtr's, built to handle power off the showroom? I think not

The S-Classe isn't made for tuning or to compete with lambos. It is made to shoot people out of the window and then transport them to the nearest disposal yard. :D

If the car is having issues putting the power down then you may want to try wider tires (Not drag radials). It's the easiest thing to do, and I mean that's what they did with the S65. Do a little research about what parts they change for the S65, and see if it's feasible to do or a waste of time and money.

Sorry if this was mentioned before. I didn't read through all the comments. It's good you referenced Car and Driver. C/D has a much more scientific approach to acceleration times. I remember reading about how C/D does it years ago but here are the important points I think I recall: a C/D tester first experiments with the best way to launch a vehicle. Second, the tester does this optimum launch acceleration test a number of times, then, takes an average. Third, the tester then does the exact same thing IN THE OTHER DIRECTION to negate the effects of road irregularities and wind -- and takes an average. Fourth, takes an overall average of both directions. Fifth and sixth, corrects through calculations for altitude and temperature (sea level at 65 degrees F or something like that). So, Hoovie, you're not an idiot. Your S600 needs to be tested by a Car and Driver staffer (or equivalent) with the proper test equipment to give some apples-to-apples 1/4 mile/mph results.

A while back, I had my 2002 CL600 tuned and the tuner guy blew up the cars ECU. After they replaced the computer with a bought used one, it felt exactly the same when they gave it back. I think they were scared to do tune and be responsible, and gave it back stock. Never got that racecar experience despite the absolutely massive V12 Engine. I felt the tune program was a total waste of money. The only exception I've had tuning was a tune I did on a 2000 CLK430 V8 which was awsome.

Very nice to see that you can beat a 200k car like a lambo or corvette in a 4500$ car wich you fixed for 10k, so your 14,5k car is better than every car in price-performance ratio.

there is a lot of latency in mobile device gps units, I bet with a proper data logger or a drag strip the time would go down significantly.

sounds like your brake pads are worn, but the benz probably has the brake pad warning system, or it sounds like a prake rotor guard is bent towards the brake rotor, or it sounds like some third option... which I don't know and which probably costs quadrillions of $

As a long time Merc owner, I'll first say that I am very incredibly unsurprised by this. This is the story of every depreciated Merc where it's easy to get a tune to ramp the HP on, without doing any supporting modifications. You bump power up on a Merc, and it will break. That is a given. Once you fix what's broken, chances are it'll be good for a long time to come. My guess, based on the sound - a tensioner or idler pulley on the accessory drive - or one of the accessories itself blew up... amirite? Good luck.
