"Not a true American car." Referencing the only truly American major auto manufacturing brand in America🙄 in response to a truck built in Texas. Ohhhkayyyy

I have never "loved" the retro birds, but I am a bird guy. I have a 64 convertible and a 70 (429). I am too tall for the baby bird, I test drove a 56... well, test sat in a 1956. The 57 is just an amazing car. I have always loved them., just cannot get my tall frame in one.

Depreciation vs initial cost is unjustified, by contrast a new land cruiser would be a much more valuable prospect. Hoovie should buy a new land cruiser and trash the new turbo until it breaks.

That contraption is, without a single doubt, the UGLIEST vehicle on the road. I live in Dallas, which is a big city. I have only seen about three of these things. They are not practical as a truck. You cannot carry any lumber or plywood sheets in back because it will not fit. If you are hauling a load, good luck finding a place to charge it back up because they only travel about 100 miles with a load or trailer before needing more juice! Over an hour to charge!😂 Build quality is a real issue. Forget trying to get it to run well in cold weather. Range is reduced significantly in cold weather. The batteries need replacing in about 10 years, which will cost more than the truck will be worth in 10 years. Pray you do not get in an accident. Batteries have acid in them and they explode, as anyone knows. $100,000.00 for this? Not me, buddy. I'm hanging on to my Ford F350 Crew Cab Power Stroke that can go 485 miles carrying a load far more efficiently than this over-priced, sparking disaster. Tesla is so screwed.

The age of disposable consumer electronics powered vehicles ! But the air is cleaner , did you notice that ? Environmentalists and EPA leeching a living off the people they handicap and create waste , complication , and growing levels of new car trash , ready for the stuck on road with dead battery traffic apocalypse ? Why can't i swap out the engine drive train to analogue ? or remove the computer issue the car was born with ? Huh ,inspection for safety ? Nope for compliance with the idiot parade Gov vaudeville show!

Hoovie, You're a good friend to Steve Magnante. Did you see his latest video...he talks about starting over and selling his stuff. Can you do a video here to get the word out to the car community and maybe set something up where people can donate? I emailed Steve and asked him to do it, but he is likely too proud. We could all pull together to help this guy through a rough time. Maybe reach out to Barrett Jackson about selling his car for him at an auction? Thank you...

Funny how the EU likes to spout crabola about Right to Repair to American companies and then goes and turns around to make stuff that has zero right to repair built into their cars that they peddle to us as high class products that break down after less than a few months of ownership. Talk about the pot call the kettle black. smh

The prices are only going to get lower. The folks who drove the market up on all these cars are aging out of the hobby and divesting themselves of their collection. Consequently there are a glut of restored cars on the market and few buyers than ever. The younger generation doesn't care about these cars. They want the cars they grew up with or wanted when they were young. That's why the 80's and 90'a cars are the most appreciative segment of the market right now. Same thing happened to the old timers who were collecting 20's and 30's cars in the 1950's. The next generation came along and didn't want those cars. They wanted the 50's and 60's cars.

They don't even have room for a standard sheet of plywood. If you haul a load, they need recharging every 100 miles. Takes an hour to charge. In warm weather.

I drove one once. Really nice, OHMYGOD so slow... It need to have its battery and engine pulled, probably even the motor. Replace with modern stuff. Sadly, by lack of larger operations building such systems, it's ungodly expensive to do this. The car IS viable, just not economically. Buddy of mine had it, declared it a total babe magnet. Zero need to drive it fast, even if it could.
