Radar sensors in Mercedes cars of that era are prone to throwing intermittent codes. They have a two-piece housing which will expand and leak over time, slowly borking the electronics, or the connector can be bad. There are identical sensors on some American make vehicles, but the connectors are not identical, so used ones are not a safe bet. The original ones are in the low four figures new, but can be had for slightly less from third party dealers. They still have to be coded to the car by Mercedes, though. Ask me how I know.

Hoovie is a real good friend and car salesmen in that sense. He knows that a bad friend would try and leverage the friendship into getting things done for less money. But he knows what the cost of things are in the car business and that what is the most important is that you have a friendly mechanic that doesn't rip you off, and does a good job. Wizard is a great mechanic in all ways shapes and forms and Hoovie knows this. Wouldn't be worth risking that friendship and mechanic over some money. I think the key to their friendship and being able to do business with each other is transparency. Wizard giving in depth explanations of why things need to be done, how much it will cost and etc.

Tyler, please read this: I had a set of those exact same tires on my gmc Sierra that I had all last year. They were all 4 brand new mounted and balanced perfectly, within the first 500 miles the front driver side tire developed a bubble in the side wall and then exploded all within a 1/4 mile. Then the rear passenger side tire did the exact same thing and exploded within a minute of developing the bubble in the side wall of the tire. The rear driver side developed a bad hop on the highway coming home from work and it had a massive bubble on the top side left hand side of the tire. The last one to go was the front passenger side tire and that was also a massive bubble in the side wall. Each time I went to the tire shop I chose a different one for each tire to get their opinion on these tires each one and the tire techs all said do not buy these again, we will not and do not sell this brand for this exact same reason. Either they bubble out or the tread comes off while driving normal day to day driving….. when each one would bubble I’d get a brand new tire to replace it (of course different but exact same size and weight rating for my truck that the others were before being bubbled and exploding). Please take these off and get name brand tires for this truck before these tires take out your fenders and bed sides like mine did 🤦‍♂️ ended up just letting the truck go because of all the damage these tires caused. Thought I got a great deal on 4 new tires when in fact I paid $1200 for them to destroy my truck I only had for 8 months after paying for it in full before going up north. 2 of the incidents happened in Michigan and 2 in Ohio. Winter driving in Ohio and then September to October pre winter in Michigan

Greatings. I have a 2014 4x2 jeep renegade with a 1.6lt diesel 4 banger and a 6 speed manuel gearbox which has a Forward Collision Warning system. It does have a radar and a front facing camera but i am sure it is not as advance or as complicated as the system on your Mercedes. This week i also had a fault warning for that system and an other fault warning for a blown light bulb on the tail light assembly which is both for the tail light and break light. I was not too worried about the blown bulb but the Forward Collision Warning system fault was a different story. Anyway, i changed the blown light bulb and to my surprise the fault warning for the Forward Collision Warning system is also cleared and did not came back. I thought maybe since the system not only allerts the driver about a possibilty of an accident but also applied automatic breaking when necesarry it needs, for safety reasons, the tail lights to work properly. So a light bulb was blown and the whole system was shutdown just because in the scenerio if the system gets activated and feels the need to apply the breaks the following driver might not be allerted strongly enough due to a missing light bulb and they might ending up rear ending me. Kind a make sence kind a over thinking i my opinion.

The shudder while accelerating could be the transmission filter and fluid. Changed the mounts on mine got better but not perfect, after a fluid and filter change got fixed. W221 S550.

That 722.6 is under a lot of strain from the V12, that's for sure. Definitely want to change the fluid early and often on those.

I wish I had a mechanic like him. My stupid 2010 F-150 with the stupid 5.4 cost me 4 grand to replace the exhaust manifolds, the oil pan, and the starter (which I had already bought for another 300 bucks thinking maybe I could replace it myself). I got the truck for free, otherwise it would be in the scrapyard. Lived it's life in MI and WI, so underneath it's a giant rust bomb.

Priority tire is a great website and company to get tires from heard great stuff, not many companies personally know about these tires having this bad of a reputation. Many don’t even use that exact brand of tire of their vehicles. It’s not just a random one off incident. Everyone I know who has bought these tires because of their great pricing and style looks had the same thing happen to them…
