I Try to Reach 2000 ELO in 30 Days - Day 17
Ойын-сауық
It’s day 17. I’m trying to raise my chess rating from 0 to 2000 ELO within 30 days.
RULE 1: Only Rapid Games.
RULE 2: I have to explain every single move I play.
RULE 3: I will give you a checklist of things that you must do to improve your rating.
RULE 4: If I lose a game, I have to play the GROB (worst chess opening) in the next one.
This speedrun is authorized on chess.com. The ELO points will be refunded.

I'm learning a lot from watching you play. Thanks! Also, you're very entertaining and that makes learning fun!!
Hey just wanted to ask if Qa4+ Nc6 d5 and winning the knight on the next move was a possible sequence at 16:06?

@@danielyuan9862 indeed, she has missed quite a few basic tactics during her grind and I feel kinda frustrated on the inside every time that happens

15:09 oh my cheese macaroni the feeling of winning a tough game
This match was f$%^ing intense! I would have panic and blundered the last 30s for sure! Well done!
Great explanations as usual. This might be the first channel to actually do this approach.
Just got off your stream as I'm typing this comment (you were stating out you were asking for HELP in your thumbnail haha), curious to check out this vid! Thank you always for the fun, engaging content and also, thank you for the chess game we played against each other during stream! (I was the guy with 'Shay' in their username)
Perfect series, perfect chess! Love it!
thanks for blundering like a normal human in this episode 😂. really takes the pressure off!

Entertaining and educational! Very nice!

Im a 1500 and alessia thank you making these videos it’s really helpful
Very well done Alessia...you keep panic at bay well.
Very much enjoying the video series
That was an action packed episode.
That was intense first game, surprised they didnt try to cheese you on time that was very close.
Those videos are inspiring. Sadly, I cannot say I like the 1.d4 opening. I watched carefuly anyway, and learned some things. Now, do you dare play the Czech Pirc ? ( with black, or white ! ) Ho hoooo that would be a sight to behold. Have a good day everyone.
15:52 you can win the knight on b4 after Qa4+

Very true, but that could end up exchanging the 2 white central pawns for a black knight if the knight on b8 is the one blocking
You have a fun personality

You got really lucky that last game.
@8:55 I was also told to talk to my pieces but I don't know if I should mention his name... No need to mention his name, we all know and love Yasser Sereiwan...
You said "My chess macaroni.".....like a last minute flight....ticket booking
I like how you say "pawnie". In the beginning it sounded to me like "pony" and I thought it was a cute word for a knight. Yeah, there are actually some old books about how to make plans in chess. Dr. Max Euwe published a whole series of books about the middle game and how typical pawn structures and other configurations. allow for certain plans...

Ma parla come magni!!!
i love it........ loth of Philosophy
Alessia What is your favorite first moves Mine is 1. b5 and 1. f5 (I also like 1. d5 and 1. c6 but they are not my favorite) I like b5 because of the bishop fianchetto tactics like 1. d4 b5 2. e4 Bb7 3. Bxb5 Bxe4 f5 is also good because it is aggressive 1. d4 f5 2. c4 Nf6/e6/d6
Other popular chess streamers make me feel a bit of a dummy. But this is fun. And instructional. Today's take-home point. When stuck for a plan, find your weakest piece and try to improve it. And then I suppose also find your opponent's weakest point and try to exploit it.
You're fun!
You missed a nice trap on move 5 to win a knight. Qa4 followed by d5
15:48 qa4+ was winning the knight after nbc6 d5

12:00 ..... when I lose a strong game, I talk after 30 minutes alone around the house (im think im broke)
Mamma mia that first game had me on my toes
Can you play the pirc defense?
Blunders make for exciting games 🙂
You *GOTTA* make a discord for your viewers edit: nvm it already exists😂
In the second game (Marshall defense), why not 5.Qa4+, winning the loose knight on b4 (instead of 5.Nc3)?
alessia playing with BBC in the first game. nice !!!👍👍👍👍😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜
Plz make a playlist
There is a good book : planning in chess by Romanowsky
I would have taken the knight on a4 then the bishop on b2.
Do you have any secret tips for beginners
15:51 Why it’s not a check with the Queen and winning the night ???

I don't know, I think most of it is already in the video. Early development, centre control, overprotection, bishops over knights. I think it covers a lot of what you're asking for.

That's évident that you love cheese macaroni... don't ya 😊??? How you cook it ???
if you see this, i want to thank you because my level has been better when I watch your videos ❤❤
Que pasó con el día 16?
Your opponent was over 1600 rating and he played an utter garbage opening but he's 1600 and I'm only 1400. What am I doing wrong? Lol!
I think she had queen a4+ when she played Queens gambiet right?
You mentioned reading all the comments. I hope you don't read *all* of them since every KZread video has a fistful of comments that are awful for no reason. Don't be discouraged by any of that! Just keep being great. :-)
I still can't get over the 1500 from a recent vid where he texted "chess is about check-mate, WOMAN" these things should maybe result not in a ban, but in a "dumb dumb brain" badge next to their avatar then again 1500 is the "dumb dumb brain" badge (oopsie)
12:00 make a short video one... whit that words

I think you have a Latin spirit, I mean that extrovert idiosyncrasy. Are you from Switzerland? I understand that the Swiss have a certain Latin influence, some even speak Italian. Well, actually your last name sounds italian.
2nd game: Qa4+ tactic for punishing misplaced knight missed :D
I think books are obscure about plans because some positions are just a long staring contest to see who flinches first, like a spaghetti western.
