It’s day 8. I’m speedrunning all the way to 2000 ELO and I need to accomplish it by New Year (2024!).
RULE 1: Only Rapid Games.
RULE 2: I have to explain every single move I play.
RULE 3: If I lose a game, there will be a punishment for the next game.
This speedrun is authorized on chess.com. The ELO points will be refunded.

In the first game, she said "running out of time" at least three times. That intense focus must have led to the draw. :) Thank you, Alessia, for your videos.

That's really interesting to hear you discuss your mistakes. You stay so calm! I guess that is part of the right attitude to playing. Love this series, Alessia! 🤩 Oh goodness me, am I the first to comment? Where IS everyone!?

It took years to stay calm after a mistake and it is still a struggle 😅

I actually laughed out loud at that OPA! at 11:24. Must have some Greek DNA in you, we are neighbors after all 😂

This is one of my favorite of your videos though they are all great! It is instructive to see how you respond to a blunder. I usually start crying and then resign. It is also great to see how you battle when your time was "few" ;-)

you need to take the whiteboard out studio if you're not using it. That would make the video image much better.

In the second game, it didn't help Black that the rook on h8 was trapped and Black didn't activate the a8 rook. They never left their original squares.
