    As far as I am concerned, more italian is what I need here !! ( I am a french guy, I don't even understand italian but ... who needs grammatical knowledge with so much hand movements ? ) Very nice chess as usual. I didn't feel any struggle in this video too. Opponents falling one after the other. I think Alessia's games are starting to have an effect on my ( low-level ) play. I am only 1650 in blitz on lichess, however yesterday I played a nice 97% accuracy game with the czech Pirc as white (Yes, I know, it is not called czech Pirc with white ). I relentlessly tried to improve my pieces, and my opponent ended up with no play at all !! That was very satisfactory. So, I am here to say a big thank you. Happy day everyone, Matthieu PS : for those who might be curious : 1. Nf3 c6 2. d3 d5 3. c3 Bf5 4. Qa4 Nf6 5. Bg5 e6 6. e4 dxe4 7. dxe4 Bg4 8. e5 Bxf3 9. exf6 Qd1+ 10. Qxd1 Bxd1 11. Second time noticed you play d3 in the scandi opposed to d4, which would be your usual style. Was going to ask your reason but just figured it out. Bf5 is annoying in some lines and also early queenside castle can put pressure down the d file.

  • @banjoleb

    @banjoleb

    Also d4 becomes annoying to protect after long castle where the rook is directly aimed at the pawn and the knight still sitting on c3

    @@user-vw9lj1yn1b That's what I was thinking, but maybe she had a reason for it - after all, moving to b6 does move away from the center and reduces the number of squares the knight controls. But on the other hand, you get a rook. I really hope Alessia will see this and comment. I'd like to know what her reasoning was. (edit) - I just saw she commented on it in another thread - looks like she just didn't notice.
