"It is hard to say the Rook with so much enthusiasm when I was the victim of the rook " - Regardless of the outcome , Eric's sense of humour remains legendary . 😁

I love your humility against high level players, especially when you are able to joke at them in a non-condescending way. Rooting for your GM title!
"Okay, playing with some dude" 💀 💀
Brutal, Eric lost this game before the first move was played. Magnus’s reputation is such a powerful psychological weapon, Eric was second guessing every one of his moves

Tomorrow's video: "Magnus sacrificed THE ROOK!"
6:26 Eric and I saying, “No!” in 3 part harmony! 😢 I was more nervous about the clock than anything.
Rosen is so good it blows my mind sometimes. Magnus just casually backhands him off the board.
If magnus makes a sac, it turns into a brilliancy. If I sac a piece, it just turns into a straight up blunder. Fun stuff to watch.
That feeling when Magnus Carlsens "oh no my rook" beats Eric's "oh no my Queen"... Fantastic game! You are an amazing person
This Magnus guy seems really strong, keep an eye on that one
Magnus genius become so more apparent when there is less material, he just gets more done with little and every calculation is so precise. When Eric was up quality with the rook he had to feel confident he would at least not lose.
That adrenaline rush has got to be crushing.
Around move 35 or so, I realized that white's bishop - the one that looked so pathetic on b2 - controls the b-line queening square. Perhaps the WC was aware of that fact sooner than I. Very nice game tho - enjoyed.
Loved this! It was like watching a rare Brooklyn 99 episode where the chief “shows emotion”. 😅
Loved the game. Dude this is like a 1v1 vs MJ. GGs!
Always enjoy your videos!
The other Eric was too scared to match up with you so he sent Magnus 🤣
When someone's chess understanding is so much deeper. Rc5 was planned from 1.e4
I feel like Eric lost the psychological battle before his loss in the game. Next time hopefully Eric scores a win or two.🔥😎
I wish Eric was in zen more for this one tbh :
It makes me feel good to see international masters blundering rooks like me
Dude the fact that he destroyed you and used only 1 minute of his time shows the destructive power of magnus 🔥🔥

What happens after 24.e5? 4:15 To me it looks like it defends the pawn and if queen takes, you play Re1 to win a queen or rook, no checks available for the white queen

Magnus hit him with OH No my Rook!
So nice of him to give smaller and less popular chess players like Marius Carlas a shoutout!
Eric: calculating 500 moves Magnus: "ok i'm just gonna win on time my dudez"
The one time Eric has beaten him, Magnus was on a smurf account so Eric didn't know it was him (found out later). Nerves are a big factor....
it's like his clock is entirely stopped.
look how magnus timer is like 2 minutes at the end
“Magnus giving me time odds” Nah he just needed to drink a little and adjust all his pieces
The captions thought Magnus was "madness"
I enjoyed watching that. Thank you
Awesome to observe. I love modern tech for the good purposes
"I'm feeling a huge rush of adrenaline right now" Reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where that girl, instead of laughing keeps saying, "that's so funny!" But I love you Eric

Strafford gambit against magnus would have been legendary tho
I got so stressed watching your time tick away I think I need to sleep for the rest of the day.
Bro forgot he was in a blitz match
Great example of how misleading engine evals are sometimes. That felt crushing for white. I was thinking like +2.5 in the endgame

The Magnus effect.
Magnus adjusting pieces online at the start
I didn’t know that line against rossolimo
knowing to lose anyway it would have been better to actually go for the strafford and see how magnus reacted
In the end you just sacrificed The Roooook! 😂 (But time odds were against you) Gg anyway.
I watched this video several times, but still the same game results
the nerves factor Magnus has is almost unfair.. my head would be spinning, 2nd guessing every move, imagining the yt video "I beat magnus" and then he would beat me in 11 moves....
that dude was quite strong. he could win some tournament i think...

It would be nice to be able to mask a player and rating when they are above a level of your choosing. Like mask all players/ratings when I play against players over 2000 or 3000 or whatever. That way nerves are less of a factor.

Magnus cruising
Why does Eric say "I've never played Magnus on [website]" ? Because to the left of their icons, there's a little "1.0" for both of them, which changes to a "2.0" for Magnus after he wins. That means they've already played 2 games on [website] before starting this one.
Beating Eric - a 2600+ and gaining +1 rating point...
unfortunately its quite obvious rosen cracked under pressure here.. taking so long for each move is unlike him. the magnus effect is so real.
