i think he's much more likely to win against a super gm than his rating would imply, but its probably balanced out by him also being much more likely to lose against lower rated players

I mean it’s a bit different in timed tournaments the idea is if the position is more or less certain both players wanna move on and get to the next game as fast as possible. Resigning only down a minor piece might a bit excessive but if it’s def a lost position there’s a good reason to resign

@@chaeljr.1254 It's probably cuz most/all of his previous opponents resigned in a lost position without playing it out; hence, he's on a "roll" (as in like, he's "used" to his opponents resigning after losing a piece, in this tournament). I personally don't think he was genuinely shit talking Eric cuz he knows Eric's a nice person. That's my take on it, and you're free to agree to disagree. I literally dont remotely care.

"So polite" 😂 Seriously though, playing street chess where trash talking is part of the strategy is becoming a bad habit.
