This was amazing to watch. I was at NCIX when Linus first started there and got to see how it all started for him. Worked beside Esthers office so this was a memory lane video for me. Linus built my first computer for me in a Silcerstone Sugo series case. Non gaming.

Linus looks mid 30s to late 30s. I dunno his age, but unless he is beyond 40 i guess he looks normal aged to me? Keep in mind they dont have a hard days labor, therefore they wont get the usual age signs that normal workers do.

The computer is not dirty, she is just going for consistent color scheme. Both white and black components are slowly being adjusted to same hue of gray.

Honestly, it's not really "dirty" at all, just somewhat dusty. Nothing a bit of compressed air won't blow away. (Mine was just as bad the last time I cleaned it!) You want minging? A PC from the house of a heavy smoker- in either sense of the word- is likely to be *far* worse. I don't repair computers for a living, but I work with people who do, and the buildup of sticky, brown "dust" gunk I've seen inside some of the worst examples is disgusting and fully justifies the extra charge for cleaning! :-6

The amount of nicotine contact high is just dangerous. I was like, I need gloves on more to protect my hands here than I do under the hood! Super sticky and gross.

i remember back in the days when Esther was doing video's she always had a great energy i am glad she is still like that it was good seeing her again !

I enjoyed this so much. Pretty much the only half hr. I smiled and laughed constantly non-stop this entire month.

Cringe is more broad and can be caused by literally anything and isn't tied to a specific scenario. Also Cringe is one specific feeling. Embarrassment can be cringe, shame, awkwardness etc

My dad accidentally bent the pins on one of his ryzen cpus when taking it out of the system because it came out of the socket with the cooler. Carefully bending back the pins with a knife was not how he wanted the spend the evening lol.

@@blargd my dads cpu was a ryzen 7 or 9 chip I do believe. It was a while back so I cannot remember which generation or model just that it was a scary moment because of how expensive the chip was.

Esther was my favorite host on NCIX's news channel. Great to see that she's doing well!

I watched her pc build video back in the day, and I remember the most of NCIS Ester, leaving So good to see her back, even if it was just for a visit

I love watching Linus deal with anything involving his family! This is him at his most comfortable I think! Awesome and entertaining content!

I love how Linus found a way to supply epic gaming machines for everyone he loves at the cost of the supplier and still make bank from it in the end!! Epic 😎 he's always happy during these types of videos

There are some companies on youtube that understand the balance between business building and customer interaction. And they use youtube in the best way possible while remaining entertaining and up to date. you can usually tell who they are by the amount of subscribers they have. Which in turn then gives them more sponsors, and better income. This channel is one of the best for that. You're such a great example for would be business startups.

Holy shit this was a blast from the past. I had totally forgotten about Esther but hearing the voice again I was like wait a minute this voice sounds familiar then put two and two together. Glad to see that she's doing well.

She seems like a great fit for LTT even after all these years. Really good on-camera vibe.

Especially once the number of years was so big that she wasn't a gleam in her mom's eye yet the last time she built a computer!

I genuinely love the family content. Edit: I mean, Crucial’s SATA SSDs are really reliable too, so I feel like they are an excellent choice for this build.

She still looks amazing after all these years! It was great to se her back on the show the interactions were hilarious.

your videos are very entertaining and very fun to watch.

I've got the same case and putting a BeQuiet Pure Rock 2 in it was tight enough that the little retention clips for the fans aren't actually held in by the groove on the fins but pressure fitted between the fins and the PSU shroud. My front fan had a flickering LED and started making a grinding noise. Fractal sent me another fan out for free after they ensured I destroyed the fan instead of sending it back. That thing probably weighs more than those new metal fans fron Alphacool, and I tried snapping the fins but had to settle for cutting the cables as it was so darn tough to break them

I love how the time since last PC build just kept increasing as the video went on. Esther was always pretty funny.

You can definitely tell Yvonne and Esther are sisters, they are so much alike.

OMG! Esther i remember watching her fist time in NCIX channel back in 2011, i shocked after watching this video am so happy she is okay Thank you so much for bring her to your channel Linus, i hope you all have a good day always! 🤗

It definately feels like Linus lucked into the wife family and they all seem very smart and nice. Linus was a bag of untapped potential and this family helped unlock him. He's an amazing dad, husband, and business owner... But what would he be without Yvanne and her family? Seems like a perfect match!

@@The_Keeper I don't know about that. Considering how cheap Linus is, it wouldn't surprise me if he would manage financially. But I think without the Ho's, LMG would've looked a lot different

Actually... in a recent video Linus reveals that his parents in-law did not like him, but put up with him because of their support for their daughter. That is some good parenting though

I love how they seemingly had just ONE reaction shot of him, but reused it like 4-5 times whenever she mentioned him throughout the video, even during the outro!

Something I've noticed about refresh rate: people mostly don't notice the difference going from a low refresh rate to a higher one, but if they have to go back to a lower one, they notice right away.

I notice instantly, even going from 60 to 75 Hz. That's why I stick with CRTs -- high refresh rates, no sample-and-hold, and better colorspace. Plus, resolution independence so going from, say, a 1600x1200 desktop to a 1024x768 game to get a nice 120 Hz refresh and better framerates on, say, an RX 570 or, in the future, an RX 6600 or 6700.

100%. It's one of those things where all of a sudden certain stuff just gets easier and less taxing on your eyes/brain. Even if the untrained eye can't perceive exactly why.

​@@BringMayFlowers I mean on CRTs the refresh rate matters but that's different from the frame rate. I have a problem with 60Hz PC CRTs but even though I refresh at 120Hz when gaming the 30fps from my Voodoo seems perfectly smooth to me. 60fps on a half-decent LCD looks smoother than real life.

So nice to see Linus n sister-in-lawn smiling so much 😂 we need more smiles n laughs everyday!

Her old pc is cool. It’s built in an Intel event gifted to her as she the representative from NCIX. The tiny small case size, the vertical installed GPU, the outputs from the motherboard. Definitely it’s the high end from that time.

“Linus is very sensitive about the size of his tech tip” 😂😂 I about died hearing that! That was hilarious! 😂😂

Esther is great. You guys should bring her on more often.

The NCIX days were great. That was right when I got into building PC's, 2009 maybe? I miss the very straightforward outdoor bench reviews lol

Linus, before you step down, do something great for the channel and hire her as a host.

Ester was absolutely amazing in this vid. Would love to see her around more often.
