EVGA Going out of Business?? My FINAL EVGA build is complete... Sad!

Ғылым және технология

The LAST EVGA themed PC I will ever build is done! This one is bitter sweet... I have used EVGA products for 2 decades... and to see it come to an end is just sad.

When I built my first PC I had 1 EVGA part, a 1080ti FTW3. When the 2080ti was announced THEY emailed me and informed me of the step up program and helped me upgrade to a 2080ti by trading in my 1080ti... What an amazing brand to do that for a customer. I swore that when I did my next build it would be all EVGA but it is unfortunate to see that that may not happen. Thank you for what you did for the PC community EVGA.

From 2009, EVGA x58 Classified board with a i7 950, and it started with a EVGA Geforce 295, but ended up with a Geforce 480 because EVGA warranted the GPU when it died on me. I don't use it for much gaming anymore since the GPU is soo old, but I do use it for videos, music, and some work stuff. I am hoping they don't go out of business, they have the best customer service that I can think of when it comes to computer components. The build turned out amazing, happy to see the final setup.

Jay, I had the direct die problem. They sent me both a revised cold plate and die guard and then it worked as expected. I can’t tell the difference looking at the die guard but can tell the cold plates are different. You can easily tell from looking at it that they changed the milling pattern. Before it was a circle around the middle. Now there is still an arc to the pattern but it’s a very wide arc so there no center point to it. It’s more going straight across long ways. It’s also a smoother more mirror finish. The original pattern felt like there was a dimple in the middle.

I love the theme of your pc, Jay. I really love the aesthetics of Black + Gold combination. One of my personal favorites and gold mines of themes. Aside from that, R.I.P EVGA. You were never a bad company.

My newest system build uses a black Lancool 216. It is a great case to do assembly in, I really like the provided fans, I wouldn't hesitate to build in one again.

Easily the best case under $100 I've build in. For the price it's in a league of its own

I have been on the outskirts of PC stuff, and just built my first PC a couple years ago (I'm almost 30). But EVGA got me a graphics card with their Queue system, and they were even helping people still get cards when they missed their email notifications. Very Good Company in my opinion.

If it makes you feel better Jay, I've been working on my E1 build longer than you have haha. I still need to go to a machine shop and get custom radiator brackets made, because I'm a lunatic and I decided to hang 3 rads and 12 fans in a sandwich off the top bar of the chassis (and hopefully probably not breaking the tube). Humorously I also chose to go with soft tube and an F1 theme, probably because of your initial video on the announcement of the chassis. Love the build! And I'm jealous of that power board!
