Reposting this comment here for more visibility: Please please please be careful with those cheap laser cutters/engravers without ventilation!!! It is super easy to create very dangerous chemical fumes if you cut the wrong plastics/materials. Like PVC will create phosgene gas which is really dangerous to inhale! But even “natural” materials will create bad stuff. Even wood and paper create bad compounds you do not want to have linger in your kids home. And then there is the whole risk of accidental reflections potentially blinding bystanders. This is no joke... I would actually recommend you throw that thing away immediately and buy a proper one with built in shielding and ventilation, and hook it up to vent it outside. You guys can afford to not risk it...

I feel like I am literally watching a conversation between my wife and me as Linus and Yvonne go through all the things she bought and he pauses and she says "Wait you don't like it? Well, now I'm not sure..." Every married couple should watch this interaction, it is wonderful.

I have to say as a LONG time LTT viewer this may be one of my absolute favorite episodes so far and I'm only like 10 minutes in. The entertainment chemistry between Yvonne and Linus is just off the charts heartwarming, entertaining, and wholesome.

It's by no means a modest lower-middle class way of living but they're also really not living the glamorous high life either, while they likely easily could. That really is important so I hope Linus moving away from the CEO position will allow the family to take a trip or at least relax the schedule a bit. The few successful businessmen I know get to a point where they really start delegating work to others and moving people up or hiring people on that can take on critical positions within the company. They're still hands on and present but not killing themselves trying to do the work of five competent and productive employees. And they can afford to pay those people adequately so that everyone has a balanced workload and lives comfortably.

I was really wondering about that when I saw her in the thumbnail. Obviously they're doing a tech upgrade for her, but clearly they have more than enough money to do it themselves without AMD's money, so what's going on? That was pretty great.

Really, they needed to do somehting like this. The owner, CFO, and CEO's (at the time) wife getting the upgrade would be at least a little bit of unfortunate PR. I am pretty ocnfidant that Yvonne would never have put herself forward for this under normal circumstances. However they needed to put their best foot forward for AMD and this is probably the most reliable option for views (at least of those who didn't get an Intel upgrade). And really, I think they nailed both sides, managing the boss' wife angle and making hte best possible video for AMD.

re-watching this 5 months later is just even better than the first time i watched!!..

This might just be my new favorite tech upgrade episode. Also the fact they still react to a $300 price is relieving.

This was really sweet seeing them just being together. I hope they have better work/life balance since Linus stepped down as CEO.

This was AWESOME!! The change of pace of this video and SO MUCH YVONNE. We definitely need more Yvonne on the channel, she really grounds things for those of us with significant others who are tech-savvy but not as obsessed with tech as we are. AMD, I'm going to upgrade to a 7800X3d just because of this video. This was money well spent!! (ok, it's not just because of this video. But it did help!!)

Yvonne's "Potential Hobby" hobby really speaks to me. I'm always trying out new crafts, automated or otherwise, so I got really excited for her when she pulled out the laser tool.

That laser engraver is flat enough that it can live on the wall on heavy duty folding shelf brackets. You just have to use a heavy piece of wood to counter any end of track movement from the machine.

Linus hitting Yvonne unknowingly it hurts with the slotted spoon and her hitting him back minutes later while perfectly knowing is so funny to me

this is brilliant, I love comedic relationship of Yvonne and Linus, I would totally love to see them more together in front of camera. Also Yvonne, I like that dress 21:40, it's giving summer chill vibes

i know im late to the party but henckels (and zwillings as theyre basically the same) usually have larger handle profiles. if you go to replace these in the future go browse some Shun products; they usually have a more slender grip and are overall lighter while holding a fantastic edge.
