I Lowered My Tesla Model Y | (Fixing 3 Problems With The Car)

What's up world! I made the decision to lower my tesla model y. I have lowered many cars in the past and have really enjoyed the added benefits I get from doing so, so it only made sense to do that same thing on this car here.
I used the Unplugged Performance Dual Rate Linear Lowering Springs for this project and am quite happy with the change. Given the cost, this is a quick easy change that I actually think most owners should make if they are looking to have a better Tesla Model Y Performance car.

You the amazing videos! Just a question, by lowering and reducing the distance between top of wheel and fender gap, does it rub at full suspension compression? Wondering how much we can lower before it rubs! Thanks man

Would have liked to see a side by side , before and after comparison. You basically have my dream car, I just can't afford one though. I bought a 2018 Ford Escape with the sport package (sexy wheels) instead and I absolutely love it. It will have to do for now. Also love the epoxy floor, and the squat rack (I have mine in the basement). :-p One last thing, I was wondering how mods like this will effect your warranty. Thx. Subbed btw

Yes I wish I would have done that. Might be putting on coil overs later this year and I’ll film it again. I’m not 100% sure about the warranty being affected on my Tesla, but when I’ve lowered cars in the past, the warranty is still covered so long as it was not a direct cause of the issue.

I am waiting for the arrival of Model Y here in Europe later this year when they finish Giga Berlin construction. I like your idea to lower the car. Did you order UP mild springs or moderate springs?

Excellent job. Do you think that the tire 255/40 R21 could fit with your Uberturbine "21 wheel in MYP? If that works, it could enhance the ride quality and be installed with all-seasoned tires.

255 is too narrow for the 10.5” rear. I could not find any 21” all season tires so I am going to new 20” wheels

When you took the frunk cover off, I noticed there was no insulation on your heat pump.. (some early model owners said it was noisy, so Tesla made a cover for it) did you remove it or is that going to be installed later for you by Tesla?

I did not receive a cover when I picked it up. To be honest, I had not heard of Tesla creating a fix for this. Is it a warranty item? I'll have to look into it. The car is a bit noisy when it fires up, but nothing I thought was overly excessive, but if there's a fix for it, I will take it.
