    The dust boot will not stay without the bump stops. The bump stop act as a compression fit for the dust boot. Bump stops are in the dust boot when putting the top hats back on so they are in there you just can't see it in the video. Sorry if there was any confusion.

    Thanks for the info! So, I’m looking at getting the Tein Endurapro Plus kit to help the harsh ride of my 2023 MYP, but keeping the stock springs since I don’t want to lower the car. Question: at the beginning of the video you said the Tein provided 14mm nut comes loose and should be swapped out with a nyloc nut? I’m just wanting to pull together all the parts/tools needed for the install. Thanks!

    @@zevcentric we didn’t find anyway in doing this. The 14mm nut is lower and even with a pass through that is impossible to reach the flat area on the rod. Bad design from TEIN on this. Only option I found is to use an impact wrench with care since you cannot hold the rod.

    It may but at the sacrifice of comfort. With the shocks we can dial the comfort back in. It creates a lot more compliance. If interested in any of these please send us a message. We can help consult you on a well balanced setup.

    How does it compare with the MPP Bargain Coilovers?

  • @zevcentric

    @zevcentric

    4 ай бұрын

    This is softer. MPP damper is a great balance between comfort and agility. It’s a more BMW/European feel. You can still feel the road but it really softens all thr big impacts. The Tein HR setup can mute out more of the smaller road imperfections and takes bumps well but not like the MPP. There’s a difference in the refined MPP/KW bumpstops that are very progressive and forgiving.

  • @zevcentric

    @zevcentric

    11 ай бұрын

    That’s in reference to the sway bars and is all relative to your preference. With an AWD car that naturally understeers this is my preference. I don’t like cars that push.

    @@zevcentriccan you elaborate what you mean when you say you don’t like cars that push? I’ve never heard of someone like softest in the front and stiffest in the back. Would you enjoy same if no sway bar in the back?

  • @zevcentric

    @zevcentric

    9 ай бұрын

    Push = understeer. When I watched the video back I saw that my reference could be confusing. We set the sway bars to the softest setting up front and stiffest setting in the rear to help promote more rear end rotation. AWD cars tend to understeer a lot so we're trying to neutralize that. The dampers were set to user preference. @@warrior15r

    I cannot comment on that. You will need to clear that one with Tein. I think it all depends on what bumpstop you have but again due to warranty and what not you should speak with Tein about it. We just finished a ton of work on that with a Model 3. I cannot recommend the Koni reds at all and the Koni yellows are a major pain in the butt to adjust the rear damping. We had to pull the shocks 10X just to figure out where to set them up. The Konis in the rear don't have an adjuster to change damping. You have to pull the whole thing out, take it apart, and put it back in. Complete fail. I wanted them for all my stock class autox guys and they can't even use them. I'm so bummed. The video should launch next week.
