Let's put $1,500 of mods on our cheap off-road build and take this show on the road! There are a lot of problems to solve, and a trail to tackle.

An extraction socket would have gotten that bolt off. Just spray degreaser and then heat and it would have came off. I’ve had the same issue a few times. The extraction doesn’t slip like a regular socket so yes it will get it.

The "weird" bolts are for front end alignment. You need to align the front end when you change those parts.

Sorry you had the wrong parts but it came out great in the end! Glad you had a good time in Alabama! One thing I might pass on to you is to always loosen the nut and hold the bolt still. The bolt going through all the parts has more surface area and friction. Way easier to fight with the nut. You can also use a torch on the nut and that will expand the metal of the nut off the bolt making it easier to turn. Only use a torch in a well ventilated area. Take care and see you in the next one Cullen! PS. It don't matter to me if you throw in the occasional video of Subaru adventures.

Not sure how much adjustment there was on those struts, but if you turn the nut under the spring it will adjust the ride height up and down.

I hope you worked out what the 'camel hump' bolts were for?.......you'll wear your tires out if you get the camber and toe wrong; the bolt does camber (IIRC) You can also get after-market or OEM camber bolts and swap out the upper bolts on the rear-end to fix the rear camber if that's a problem.

The threaded holes on rotors are for getting them off when they are seized on the hub. Put a bolt in those and tightened until it cracks free. The strut bolts on subarus are also eccentric for camber adjustments. 1 last thing, brake line clips are always a pain!

Thank you! I post every saturday at noon. And sometimes some bonus short videos in between. This is the longest video I've made in a few months. In an editor by trade, and I like to cut out the fat wherever possible. I just got back from a great weekend boating trip a few minutes ago. Great stuff coming in future videos!

You may be right, but so few people are watching... That would basically be starting from square one. Since I have to balance my time spent on videos with a full time job and the rest of life, I think it makes more sense to spend all of my video resources on boats right now.

@@CullenCraft , when you diversify you will notice shifts in niches. Follow your passion not the market. In 1991, I put all of my effort in becoming a car dealer vs following my passion in health and fitness and hunting and fishing. Even though I experienced success in the car business I never became a car dealer, and I have never been able to enjoy hunting again. I hope that eventually you'll hire someone to edit, so you can focus on creating content

I mentioned that point several times through this video. There won't be any more car content moving forward, even though it plays a roughly equal part in my life.... I know that's not what people want to see.
