But thats the point. Soon people might have to devise solutions from the rubble of others. He is an inspiration to those who choose to live in coexistence with nature developing their skills with things other privilege countries describe as waste. His skills would be wasted in a corporation producing products from new materials at high dollar for people who have wasted a plethora of solutions to excessive consumption already. A new, improvising culture is emerging and it is so greatly needed if anything is left after nature achieves balance again.

These skills aren’t really that rare among people that are closer to survival type lifestyles. A good portion of village kids in Alaska can repair a snowmobile engine in the bush. Their survival depends on it. When you live in a culture that reuses, recycles and repairs what they can because the cost of new is just too much to afford, these skills are more and more prevalent.

Yes, he knows engines. I would take far more time cleaning things. I would get stuck on one or two nasty details. He doesn't get stuck, he knows the best solutions. When you know a couple of good mechanics, you'll know the way they work. He simply has it all. Patience, energy, experience and mental calmness.

My dad used to be able to strip down and rebuild engines like that - and also turn his hand to pretty much any skill (electrical wiring, plumbing, carpentry, welding, fibreglass, epoxy moulding etc), would rescue things from "the dump" and fix them up - it's refreshing seeing that combination of skills in a young bloke. For those who wonder why he design the seat to recline so far back, it is to bring the center of gravity lower so the boat won't capsize so easy.

I was kind of doubting in the beginning that you'd be able to turn that burnt down engine into just running. But you went above and so far beyond what I expected and turned it into a very appealing and unique futuristic small water craft. I'd prefer this over a jetskii! Looks like a new idea to change small watercrafts
