For me, its the bad writing and really bad ending. Like characters would do shit that they wouldnt fucking do, its especially apparent in the later chapters where characters would contradict themselves alot. Spoiler/// Especially subordinate-kun like in one chapter he said he doesnt agree with EVERYTHING Alec (male protag) says and that he would rebel if he were told to do something he doesnt like, yet in the ending he became the fucking king to save female mc. LIKE WHAT??? DIDNT ALEC KILL UR FAMILY IN ORDER FOR YOU NOT TO BE KING. LIKE? He even said it himself that he would never want to be king. And its not like subordinate cared for the female mc either. All in all will def watch for the animation and art not for the story hzhshahz

It is not just the best hen- trailer, it is THE BEST animated trailer I have ever seen. But the absolute worst was when I read that this isn't a trailer for an upcoming anime but a manga. They tease you with these animations, these colors, this ART and then just give you a colorless not moving standard thing. This is like making the best VR game play trailer ever made with the best graphics, the best controls, the best everything that gives you the feeling of being on the edge of full dive VR. And thenn ... they ditch all that and give you the script of the main story line in book form. If you aim for people to like your black and white comic (and yes, mangas are JUST black and white comics) DO NOT give them the an animation that not only not represents the quality of the actual work you want to promote but also don't give them a trailer that makes MOST ANIME suddenly look like cheap low budget stuff compared to your art style. This is how ALL ANIME should look. All studios should aim for that level of quality. I mean tbf, printing actual moving animations on physical paper isn't that easy. But even though this is understandable are THE ANIMATION the only reason why this trailer was the best. They promissed us THIS and gave us THAT. I wish I never saw this trailer.

Imma say what I told my mate about this story. Don't go into it wanting logic You will not get it. Just watch the animation blind and then read the manga and be utterly confused. Best way to watch itn

I read all this in an hour, I really got into the story but the comments on the site can only focus on surface level stuff, but the world building really pulled me in for a shorter series, and the character building on Alec was so well done. I agree the ending didn’t really justify the build up of the story. I’m not even into guys, I usually prefer to focus on the female in any series but I was impressed with how well drawn and detailed the male protagonist is too. He definitely was pronounced even more so than Megumin a lot of the time. I guess that’s the otome perspective. Thanks for making me aware of the existence of this series.

The most promising translated one is _The Men of Yoshiwara_ but I haven't gotten to the erotic scenes yet so I can't attest to how good quality it is. The intro to now seems to be decently written, though.
