I don’t think he understands that “vanilla” can’t include things like incest, or complex love triangles and threesomes. Vanilla is like a single simple missionary scene after a wholesome hand holding scene after a PG rated dinner date and riding a Ferris wheel.

@@spiderdude2099 imo it can depending on how it's written. For me, it's vanilla if everything is consentual, it ends with everyone happy, and it has a heartwarming vibe to it.

@@spiderdude2099 I think that just because monogamy is more socially normal doesn't mean polyamory can't be depicted as vanilla. For example, the romantic beats in Imaizumin give it vanilla vibes to me. I think it's perfectly fine if people have slight variance in their personal subjective definition on what "vanilla" is. And to another point you brought up, you mention incest can't be vanilla. Now, quick thought experiment: take something you identify as vanilla, and just add one noun pertaining to a familial role (eg "cousin") to just one word bubble. Does this automatically invalidate the vanillaness of the piece? Despite the emotional beats and all other elements signature to vanilla still being there, can a single word completely reclassify it? If not, regardless of whatever work already exists, would that not mean vanilla incest is at least possible in theory? Or do you disagree?

agreed, for me hiroya, herio, hamao, simon, danimaru, bota mochito, igumox and jorori is top tier when they make vanila aside from them there also, koharu nanakusa, kotengu, art post, moketa, mashiro shirako, miyama, mutou koucha, itou nanami, otogino satoshi, haguruma, betty, yahiro pochi, toribami sasami, yuzuha, lunch, tokiwa midori, hisasi, mushi, yuzuki n dash, sage joh, mosu, musashimaru, suihei sen, pija, aoi tiduru, kirihara you, spiritus tarou, itsuki kurou, and daiji, they also make a pretty good amount of wholesome

Yo Syd, Garnt looks chill in this like he is talking about any other manga. If you relax your shoulders a bit, it will make you look more conversational and give a relaxed atmosphere.
