Absolutely loved this video Casey! It perfectly summed up the whole race day for me. The crowds, the course, the support on the course from the runners and volunteers - none of that was overshadowed by the incredible heat and humidity that we faced. I was about 45 minutes slower than what I'd trained for, yet I'm not disheartened - it was still the New York City marathon!
This hits home real close. I’ve run New York City four times now, including this year, and it was a SLOG. I felt every single emotion and physical state that Casey felt last Sunday. His message at the end about why we do this is so reassuring. Fantastic video. 👏🏼

Hi Casey. First of all I want to thank you for inspiring so many people to vlog about their lives. You inspired me and I'm still doing my vlog 7 years later. Second congratulations on finishing the NYC marathon. This year was my 14th and by far my slowest time. It is a crazy thing to do, always painful and potentially dangerous. I started in the 5th wave and given my pace I knew I'd be coming in after dark. I FELL at mile 20 just as it was getting dark. I tripped on a pothole and went down. At my age (75) falls are a big deal. Fortunately nothing broke. There was no blood, just a bruise on my shoulder and a bunch of black nails on certain toes. I walked the rest of the way. I will do it again because it was the most fun marathon too. As you said, the crowd, the workers and volunteers were fantastic. There was a lot of love.

The storytelling is on point. As a former photojournalist Casey you are my hero. I never understood why so many people were into your channel because I never really watched but once I took the time you won me over fast. I’ll never leave now. Great job and great run my friend.
The fact that you credited all those people to the best of your ability shows what an awesome human you are. Cheers!
Really loved the editing and energy of this video. I was there and yes it was my worst marathon as well. But the best thing about this video is you captured the energy of the marathon and NYC so well.
The amount of energy it takes to pull off your life and deliver like you do on a daily basis completely reshaped my understanding of what a single human is actually capable of. Humbling, eye-opening to say the least. Lately in a conversation with my 16 year old son (who loves hip-hop) he asked me about my definition of the term "keeping it real". I told him go binge watch casey instead of netflix.

Not taking away any accomplishment but he has a team - plus VIP access
This is hands down my most favourite vlog you’ve ever done. I love the storytelling, the people encouraging you on, the way it’s shot. Just brilliant. It’s good to have you back in NY Casey. Welcome home.
Congratulations on finishing! I started running last year, I got the inspiration to start running from your vlogs! Thank You!
Casey! Congrats on the finish, it was a hell of a day. This was my first NYC marathon - 4 hours 30 minutes. There is no place like NYC. Thank you for what you do.
This was a totally moving and motivating video Casey. Despite all the challenges you made it and completed the entire marathon and that is huge! As with all of life we can get curveballs thrown our way and it's what we do with them that counts! You persevered and no matter how difficult things got you adapted and kept going and that shows such a fabulous and valuable inner strength. Not that I am surprised! Thanks for the awesome video and it's so cool that so many people were filming and could provide you with video clips! That's so kind! Be well!! 🙂
Watching this made me feel so emotional because my father died at a 6k race, he was the healthiest person I’ve ever known, and this video showed me how he gave all his effort to do something to prove himself

So incredibly inspirational - it got me emotional and I don’t know why!! I’m not from NY but you make me believe it really is the best city in the world!!!! Great vid and congrats!!!
Awesome video!! I was working as a bike medic and saw you pass and cheered you on. Great job-hottest NYC marathon in recorded history.
Yes this video didn’t disappoint! The people of NYC pulled through!!! Again reviewing and going thru all those messages to get the videos from spectators is incredible Casey! Awesome vlog!
The irony of "I am adult" shirt and throwing his other shirt on the ground under the sofa is not lost on me. 😂
I’m not a runner or a filmmaker, I’m not even in the US but I cried watching this. Thank you
This stuff always gets me emotional. The collective positivity that breaks down divides is something special. Great story telling from Casey as usual.
As a runner, this video and everything about it resonates so hard with me. The joy, the pain, the nervousness... Man, hits ya right in the feels! 5 years ago I'd never have imagined running a marathon, and having just completed my first half marathon a month ago, it's videos like this that REALLY make me want to run the marathon, especially in a big venue with NYC or Boston. Man, what a thrill that would be! GREAT video @Casey, as always!
DUUUUUUDE, the beats you use in your videos are always so killer. Always end up downloading them
I relived many of my marathons through this video. Thank you. Those days are golden

You've opened a treasure trove. Enjoy!
Hearing you talk about the city brings joy to my heart. It's great to see you back in NYC.
you remind me how much i love my home every single time you post from here. you've been back for five+ videos but as a kid who grew up on the internet and was raised by content like yours, it feels good to have you back, spreading messages of resilience. i appreciate you! this years circumstances were tough but you'll be back at it next year! i just know it.
I can't describe this emotion. I think it's your editing, your music choice, your statements and theology with everything you do. Perhaps it's the idea that I want to live in NYC one day. Perhaps it's the idea that I feel so proud of people who can run 26.5 miles, when I, myself, can barely do 1. I almost started to cry at the end of the video because it was such a...happy, but sad, video. I'm a new subscriber and I've been binging a lot of your videos for a few weeks now. You seem so excited and optimistic with every video you put out. But, this one. This one right here. It felt like you were very sad, or at least disappointed in yourself. The end card when you mentioned that this was your slowest race: For some reason, that hit me. Again, I can't really explain it, but in that moment, I felt more connected with you than I have before watching the other videos. Just, the sheer storytelling, and videography in your videos - the music choice -- everything. Incredible. Simply, incredible. Thank you for being you, Casey.
YOU GOT A DAMN MIRACLE (hard work) THIS YEAR! Saw you and you were flying, congrats! 👏🏻
The vibes of your videos are really great. Congrats on your time even if it’s been your slowest 🎉🎉
So proud of you Casey🎉 i got emotional watching you and people supporting you in the crowd ! Thats awesome ! ❤️
Seeing Kutch in a Casey vlog was not on my bingo card for today
