Here's our Top 3 + an idea of who they are best for...
Rawlings Gamer XLE - Most comparable to top notch gloves. Requires intentional break in time and will last the longest out of everything.
Great for High Schoolers and up.
www.justballgloves.com/produc...
Wilson A1000 - Soft yet great construction/ internals. Glove is durable but will be great for youth who need something high quality but also soft. Some people just want the softer feel anyway so do you.

Mizuno MVP Prime - This is our best cheapest glove... whether your a dad playing catch with your son, needing something for slow pitch or simply a kid looking for a gamer... this will get the job done

Got a Mizuno mvp prime as a birthday gift when I was 12 love it it was the first glove I got after I learned how to properly care for a glove gamed it for middle school and summer ball until sophomore year and still have and love it. Still holds for shape for the most part other than I got to the point I didn’t care for it like I used to. Definitely would recommend one for anyone

The r-9 was a glove that I used all through youth, this year (13u/aaa) I got an autism speaks a2000 11.5 after the web of my r-9 broke. Great glove for youth but usually wears out after around 5 years. Love the videos, keep up the work. 👍

I decided to get the R9 for my double duty glove. I went with a 12.75 3029 pattern so I could use it for slow pitch, and still feel comfortable enough to practice with my son who started tee ball. I had a miken glove for slow pitch and it swallowed up baseballs and just felt awkward. As far as the R9 goes, I had to tighten the up the laces for the fingers. After the break in I ended up pulling 4 inches of lace out because of how much they stretched. I haven’t had any balls go through the web, probably because it’s an h pattern. I almost had a baseball go through the middle and pointer finger though. Rawlings laced it up way too loose for the get go. I’m super happy for the money though. Back in school I always had a heart of the hide glove, but the R9 is great on a budget.

my sons team won a marucci tournament and got a $250 voucher to get custom gloves. So he got a custom oxbow with the 2 in the pinky custom insert and his broke in great (thanks to your videos) and has a great pocket but most of the other kids on the team have pancakes now... but he takes care of his glove a lot better then most 7-8 year olds. I have tightened his laces up a few times in the last year.

i got an a1000 last year during baseball season, it broke in fairley easily and im still using it while im breaking my a2000 in, but i will say it is an reliable glove. I haven’t experienced any cuts in the glove, im always diving and making plays at shortstop and ive never really dropped a ball. Probably one of my favorite gloves behind the heart of the hide and a2000

My kids are 11 and 14, and have to say there are huge differences in the style of glove that are wanted /needed as they grow. Until a kid is strong enough to throw hard and squeeze stiff leather (12-14) there is little value to more expensive gloves. Unfortunately, the cheaper softer gloves don't hold their shape and perform for as long.

Thanks for the videos. I really enjoy them. I play softball and recently purchased an Easton Professional dual post 13" glove. This is my first new glove purchase since the early 80's. So far I am not in love with the glove but it still needs breaking in. One thing I did notice was the finger and web lacing. Not a fan of the coated leather lacing that is very stiff. I actually relaced the fingers and top of web with 3/8" alm leather. Just has a better feel for me.

BGK - ALWAYS appreciate the content... I am seeing a different (new?) colorway on the Gamer XLE... the model number is GXLESP13BRCF and it's black and red... the GXLESP13BSS in silver and black is still out there. Any input on these? Is the BRCF model ONLY a different color - did they keep all of the things that made the Gamer XLE so great?? The speedshell texture, at least, looks to be different. Looks like they have it in a 11.5, 11.75, and catchers mitt. We're looking to try the catchers mitt vs the R9... this mitt will be for a middle schooler - used as an interim between the renegade series (used for last two years) and a full blown adult mitt. Did Rawlings listen to you, or did they make other changes? Thanks!!!!

@ballgloveking my 8 year old kid called me upstairs yesterday and broke down the missed caught Homerun in the OH vs CA LLWS game. 8 years old breaking down the play rewinding and fast forwarding in slow motion, and all. He’s convinced that kid would have made the catch if he would have had the right web choice on his glove. He said the CF wears a regular basket pitchers web, he’s convinced with an open web that’s broken in that ball would not have rolled out of the web of the glove. I concur, but the kid is really convincing in person. If you get a chance to see that play lmk of you agree with your young fan.

Im a grown man that plays in a "fast pitch" league, as to where pitches are only at 80mph, and liners aren't coming at you like in legion or college😂, we old, baby! But my A1000 has held up great after 2 seasons, and that includes magnanimous amounts of catch as well. I would love an a2k, but the A1000 is still doing me fine, so I'm not going there yet.
