UCLA had Gerrit Cole and Trevor Bauer while USC had JBJ, Merrifield and Christian Walker. Couple of loaded teams
i love coming back and watching this game. not often i catch a break as a gamecock fan gotta relive our old glories
Gamecocks win their 1st major national championship in Omaha, the last champion at Rosenblatt. Then, they went undefeated in the 2011 tournament, winning the 1st CWS at the new ballpark. Got to the finals in 2012, after which Coach Tanner left coaching to become the AD. In the following 11 seasons, NO appearances in Omaha. We need you in the dugout coach Tanner!

And the dude who beat us in 2012, Rob Refsnyder stated he hated USC fans so much that he wished he never lived in SC. Yankees draft him and he had to play for the Charleston Riverdogs. Was comical at the time.

@dylanp346 karma got him. But, hating life in South Carolina is understandable if you start your pro career in Charleston (high humidity) in the summer, after living in AZ (minimal humidity). He was younger, when saying things you shouldn't is common. He's managed to hang around with different teams in the majors since 2015. Not many do.

1:40:29 - stupid commentators say the guy shouldn't have cut it off. Had he not done that, the 3rd baseman would have been 10 feet off the bag and had no chance at getting the runner.

Trevor Bauer got the short end of the stick here. Smh. Lost in the 11th. UCLA deserved to win this.
