Catfishing off the bank is a tough task in my area. Sometimes, while I'm fishing I have to watch your videos while I'm out there just to see a fish lol

we use Asian carp it makes really good bait we cut it up to use we don't have skip jack up here in northern Missouri

Has worked just fine for me, and seems to work for Dave. I salt all my skipjack before vacuum sealing and freezing and they seem to stay firmer when thawed.

Do you use a fish finder? Or, the good ole way. Read the water, that is a real challenge.

I put my skipjack in a vacuum bag covered in salt before I freeze them and it seems to keep the flesh firmer when they thaw out. I get pool salt at Lowe's for about $8.50 for a 40lb bag, cheapest way I have found, I use the fine grained stuff (it's almost a powder) not the rock salt type. I use it for freezing bait, boat live wells and bait tank at home.

If I am wrong forgive me. I think your ultimate goal is 100 lb flathead and maybe world record large mouth bass. My gut instinct is old moe lurks in the All American canal where old Moe has never seen a human bait. Why, because of the rules, no swimming no boats. If you vacation on the rez, you may catch 100 lb old Moe. I would love to see you get that 100 lb er.
