I did it AGAIN - Why I Bought Every 2020 250F Motocross Bike
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
I'm kicking off another one! 2020 250F Shootout, as I rounded up all the bikes locally for another range of test days. Before this Shootout, I wanted to go over why I do these and what will be a bit different for the 250 version. And also, open up to some suggestions for what people want to see in the info.

I actually appreciate all the bs your going through to feel this all out for us
A price aspect would be interesting like how much better you can make the bikes for the money difference from the husky or if the more expensive bikes are worth that extra

I agree , even with a set amount, Like $1000 or $2000 Or Just a couple things to each That people usually do Like Set up suspension Tires Bars Maybe pipe Maybe ignition . Even if it's only a 1 Rider shootout because you can only set suspension for 1 I'd be fine with it being ML.
Most honest perspective on the bikes on youtube.....and for the magazines for that matter. Really look forward to your evals. Thanks,, Tom
Looking forward to the 125’s if you review them
Thanks for doing another awesome shootout series for us! U are doing the lords work
This is the review I was waiting for!
Wow!! That's a lot of bread to Shell out for a shootout. I'm anxious to see the results and all the info you gather. This definitely will help people decide on what bike they want. Good job mate.

Thanks Michael, appreciate what you do. This is my go to source for this info.
Awesome video as usual... I want the honda when you are done please 😋👍👍👍hope you can get a few million views from this...you deserve it
Yo, Michael! I remember a year ago or so it was a trending issue that the market was slow and no one was buying bikes. But I'm not sure that is so much of an issue. I see comments in harscramble vids all the time of these 50y/o guys ecstatic and grateful of a KZread for encouraging them to race their first race. It would be cool to see one extra rider in your line up. A total novice with complete unbiased opinion other than "I like the green one the most" or "Barcia is my fav rider,,, so I want a yammie!!1!" Some guy that will roll every jump and stand it up half clutching through an entire corner. The results may be surprising. They may come out with a totally different opinion going in than they or we would expect. Not to mention those types of guys are the older generation able to pay for newer bikes unlike cheap young guys like me.

Great teaser video to start the 250 shootout. I realize it’s unrelated somewhat but explaining to people how They could help for free would be good. From my (limited) understanding watching the video all the way through and also NOT skipping the commercials helps you monetize a little bit. Thanks for the content!!!

Damn dude, props on running your channel this way! I might try something similar (with one bike.. haha)
They're all great bikes, would be happy with the Kawi, Yam or Honda! :)
This is awesome I trust your shootout more than Mxa they are always biased thanks for doing the shootout
Do a super mini build, pit bike build and then a supercross 250 and possibly 450 builds. Then next year do a all out motocross bike unlimited money
I enjoy your independent view with your vids. Looking forward to seeing how this shootout pans out. Can I ask you to please reconsider the lighting. Less background lights and more lighting from the front would be good. Currently we see the background well. But you and the item you're talking about are just shadows. Thanks mate, hope you get millions of view. 😁

What blows my mind is how frequently guys are buying new bikes. Maybe I'm just old now but back in my day after we invented fire, we did ride too. Watching all these channels it's just amazing that these guys are buying new bikes yearly or bi-yearly...& I don't mean the Pro's, the amateurs. We kept our bikes for yrs & yrs, you don't even get to know her until 2 yrs in & she's had broken clutch/Rbrake lever ends for a year.

Exactly. Unless your racing professionally buying a new bike every year is unnecessary. But that's the generation we live in. If it's old just throw it away. I myself have a 2015 450 and plan on keeping it for years because it's still solid and still competitive. Not to mention I'm just a weekend warrior which most people are
Michael, Since you changed the tires from a 100 to a 110 I was wondering if you changed the rim size? I know most 250s come with a 1.85 rim and fitting a 110 on this size isn't ideal. I am curious if this was an issue?
Please record how you setup each bike for each rider and why you change clickers/any setting to help the riders. Thanks
Michael, you are crazy xD I bet you are the only private person buying all brand new bikes for a youtube video
Do you think the bikes have evolved too far past what most people need ? How many A riders are there in each state on average? The C class guys can go the same speed , same lap times on a 2010 , as they can on a 2020 , ( even with electric start) from what everyone says , so are they just evolving too far ?
Did you do the in depth videos?
I have my money on the husky for the casual rider and Ktm for serious rider.

For an idea maybe you could include the 250 2t in the shootout with the 250f. As in aus they're in the same class and nobody seems to include them in the 250 shootouts just be interesting to see where they would place against 250f's as they both have their pro's and cons

your Tests are a little to technical/detailed for me. I like the format you did for Vital last year - multiple rider rankings and a broad opinion from several different riders.

since they are your bikes, you should take the oppertunity to focus on content creation rather than shopping advice. Think Top Gear for dirtbikes.. line them all up in a drag race and do stupid tests that dont really mean anything, but would be entertaining and interesting to watch.

How come we never see anyone do a "small budget test" where you invest say $5-1500" retail cost of upgrades. Then test? With you actually buying them I think it'd be an advantage to make you different.

Lindsay is stretching the truth a bit here. He didn't actually pay for these bikes out of his own pocket. There was a deal that went with the acquisition of the bikes that favored Lindsay.
@MichaelLindsay
4 жыл бұрын
Steve Maffhes the way I procure the bikes is helpful but I lose a good chunk of cash by doing these. By the time I was said and done with 450 Shootout and the bikes were sold...I spent around $8,000-9,000 to do the test. I have only rough totaled it at this point as there’s still another bike to sell.
So no actual long term feed back on the 450s , I was hoping to see some real reviews of the bikes with some hours on them ... so buy selling all the 450s w little hours and just a few diff rider reviews it’s pretty much the same shootout other then your and individual doing it .
@MichaelLindsay
4 жыл бұрын
JonesZ hopefully next year I can do something different but I CAN’T afford to do that as of now. I can carry loans against bikes for a month and off them all but not longer then that. Secondly, it would be very difficult to ride them all enough by myself to get high enough hours to be that effective. I could do it with with one or two bikes over the course of six months, but not all six. I have other jobs to do to pay my bills, this channel doesn’t cover that all yet. My pitch of doing these Shootouts was privately acquiring the bikes as all other Shootout bikes are provided by an OEM. I wanted to eliminate any doubt over who pays the most as money, who’s been fiddling with the bikes, etc.
we want to see two strokes😂
