"I'd do this if there was no prize money!" | ROAD TO 505 powered by Gymshark | EP4 | Adam Bishop

Спорт

From teenage Rugby star, to world-class sports coach to 2-time Britain's Strongest Man, Adam Bishop has achieved any goal he set himself. Now his biggest test awaits- lifting 505kg.
An athlete first and foremost, Bish leaves no stone unturned when it comes to achieving peak performance and being one of the worlds premier S+C coaches certainly helps. Add to that a tight knit team around him, all that's left is to let his lifting do the talking.
There's $55,000 on the line. Will anyone do it?

What even was the injury? Maybe he just wanted to stay fresh for the DL champs and pulled out at the first sign of a twinge

He pulled out of the Shaw so he could still do Deadlift championship. He had a slight pull in his pec. He was going to continue, but as JF(?) pointed out, the last couple events involved the pec, so it would have held him back, and possibly worsened the injury to the point that he couldn't do the deadlift championship. So thankfully he listened. So he should still be good to go. He was just being careful.

Sadly I think you're spot on Hicksy will likely pull the most but sadly can't see him making 505 right now. Not having watched his training vs Eddie's and thors lifts running up to it. I think he will in the future but it's whether he has the drive to do it if it doesn't happen this time. I also think he could break the log record if he dedicated time to focus on it.
